Mondays aren't supposed to be this awesome!!!
When you're retired like I am (after a 35 year career), Monday's are just fine :>)
But this Monday is (cue in Tony the Tiger) - GREEEEEEAAAAATTT!
SOON.
Same....every day is like Saturday!
My saying exactly everyday is Saturday when you’re retired!
Yep. Still trying to dial down intensity in tasks. Better pacing but don't sleep well yet till chores are done...so to speak. Traveling midweek is a literal joy.
I think you're forgetting January 8th of this year. Mondays are spoiling us so far this year.
On the flip side there was a shit ton of sad suckeyes that Monday night.
Good point 😂
Even more ironic is that I was at the game in Houston
My Apple Watch fitness app gives me warnings when my heartrate goes over 120 for 10 minutes while it appears that I am at rest. I rarely have these, which indicates good heart health- but I did have one on January 8th at 10:36 pm.
commit-a-palooza
Hell, yeah!!! I'm quite pleased with this addition.
The old saying: when it rains, it pours - this time a good kind of drenching rain.
Now if we can add Golden too.
This is dangerously close to 'phrasing'
Sure looks like a Freudian slip on Vlad's last name, which is Goldin with an 'i'.
What's wrong with getting drenched by Goldin rain?
Many people pay for that.
Hey guys, #NoPolitics
Goldin showers bring May flowers.
I feel like I am taking crazy pills. This is insane for a Monday.
2 things can be true, not mutually exclusive..
Me too. I thought all of these recruits are lefties... But only FOUR are. Jones, Gayle, Walters, Wolf.
Danny Wolf is not a lefty.
You're right. The highlights I saw he kept finishing with his left and assumed wrong. So we got 3 lefties.
Let's go with 3 lefties, and one who likes to use his left because it feels like someone else is doing it.
All good thoughts. Great Monday!
Is this the guy that was in the 100th percentile on 3s or something like that?
The very same.
Love that he's a freshman with potential 3 years eligibility left. What's the eligibility status of the other 4 transfers?
Also, weren't we a lock for the FAU center too? Why has he not committed?
The belief is that he's waiting for the NBA to tell him he won't be drafted this year.
From memory so don't take as gospel.
The North Tx guard is a grad transfer with one year left. Wolf, the center from Yale has 2 (?), Gayle is list as a Sophomore so at least 2, I think the Guard from Auburn is also a sophomore. The FAU Center - if he (likely) forgoes the draft would be a Grad transfer with 1 year.
You nailed it.
- Two grads (Jones & Goldin*)
- Two rising juniors (Wold & Gayle)
- One rising sophomore (Walters)
Michigan is also hard after rising junior Aidan Mahaney, a G from Saint Mary's. Love the roster balance that Dusty is achieving with these portal adds. Turning next season's roster into a winner almost overnight while not just relying on grads and mortgaging the following season.
*not committed yet but really seems like just a matter of when
Agree on the roster balance ... both in class and position! Our guards are guards! And we have some!
Also, Brian isn't a take on Mahaney it sounds (from the roundtable). So, I guess I'm not a take on Mahaney because I only do what Brian says around here. Assuming Dusty is the same way? I guess sign Johnell Davis instead?
Ha, I think that Justin Joyner will be very invested in taking Mahaney assuming they can get him to visit.
Johnell seems like a serious longshot at this point. Potentially doesn't have the credits to graduate and might have priced himself entirely out of college hoops.
I don't anything about this kid but this is my ideal college player- ranked in that top 50-100 range where it feels like you'll likely get a killer player in years 2-4 but the NBA isn't gonna come sniffing until they absolutely blow up
FYI: Seeing Louisville listed as a final 4 made me think, "does Louisville even have a coach?" Turns out they hired Pat Kelsey after UM poached May away, a seemingly low-publicized hire. He's from College of Charleston, by the way of Winthrop with some nice success at the mid-major level. Will be interesting to see their success vs. UM's over the next decade. Being optimisitic.
Those are some basketball blue bloods there. I'm not used to seeing Michigan win those battles.
Huge add. Not many 4s out there, he's a perfect one for Dusty.
Moore and May are going head to head today! Lets gooooo!
I have no preference - and will cheer for both of them. Go Blue!
Top uncommitted player I wanted. Great pick up
Really excited about this guy. Looked great during Bama’s Final Four run.
Fantastic. A guy like this was, pretty clearly, the missing piece of the puzzle. (One might speculate that some of these guys see the team that Dusty's building, and know that spots are going fast.)
We're going to need to defend at the four, too; I will be interested to see whether there is one more promising forward out there for us.
Sean Stewart would nice. D and rebounding.
Great pickup. He's 6'9" and a good shooter from outside.
Team is coming together and, at this rate, May will be done before we get to May.
This guy appears to be very much a Beilein-type player. I like that May seems to have an identity with his style of play and is getting guys who fit that. Juwan definitely wanted old school post players but after that, I was never sure what the team’s identity was other than “let’s see if we can win with only two guards on the roster.”
This team - in year one - might turn out to be a very fun one to watch.
When May was hired I thought the NCAA tournament in year 1 was a pipe dream and would make the season an A+ grade. The expectation for year 1 now should be to make the NCAA tournament which is insane. Still would be an A+ year one, just a lot more plausible.
Yet another lefty. Wow. I like this team.
