Again, pretty fair and balanced analysis, does give props to our defense...enjoy!

But when they face LSU in the BCS National Championship Game, they might get shut out.
Woo!?

Getting shut out by LSU in the NCG would be an amazing season. Terrible ending to a season, but the only way a Big Ten school gets there is starting 13-0.

This part was interesting to me:
63 of those rushing yards came on something brand new for the Wolverines--the traditional option. Michigan ran this play four times, which starts with a running back next to Robinson in the shotgun. The back then goes in motion to the other side of Robinson right before the ball is snapped. That tailback then becomes the pitch man. Michigan's second touchdown of the game came on the first time they showed this play--Robinson kept the ball and took it in from 53 yards out. He kept it twice more during the game--once on a fourth down, and picked up ten yards on those two carries. He also pitched it once to Fitzgerald Toussaint for a gain of five yards. This is quite another wrinkle for Michigan's option game. They only showed it while telegraphing it with the back in motion, but it was still effective. If he continues to be effective with the pitch, you have to wonder how long it will be until there is some triple option out of the zone read. Michigan doesn't have great tailbacks, but this would seem to make each and every one of them better.

but then again, so do many of our players; obviously Ohioans aren't all bad :)
The National Championship Game!? Is he out of his mind!?
!?
I see improvement, on the defensive side of the ball, but not enough to warrant NC game hype. If a B1G team is heading the the NC, most of the smart money is riding on Wisconsin at this time; we still got a lot of work to do to prove that we are a contender for the division championship, let alone the conference championship.

sarcasm, for sure. If you look at how he heads our schedule it's "The Road to the Big One." Utter sarcasm.
The only people thinking NC are kids, and the kids in all of us.

"The Big One" is the game against Ohio State and has been been the headline over our schedule since I've been reading MM (around '06).

Other than the obligatory smarmy comments at the beginning, this was quite balanced for an Ohio fan writing about Michigan. If the writer of that post wrote for a Michigan-related site, I am guessing that almost everybody here would like him.

I just didn't realize such creatures existed in the TV-baiting rows. Props to that man!
