Hello everybody, I'm the dude who put all the crystal balls in. There was an error with my crystal ball where I couldn't make or change predictions for a while (hence the horrible avg correct) and I just got around to updating my predictions. It's not like one thing suddenly caused me to make these choices or anything like that.
Just to clarify, the reason the Michigan coaches are ranked so low is because over a third of their commits had Jerry Montgomery as their primary recruiter which really hurt their numbers. Here's a breakdown of which coaches were given credit for each commit:
Curt Mallory: Jabrill Peppers, JBB
Dan Ferringno: Drake Harris
Jerry Montgomery: Mason Cole, Michael Ferns, Bryan Mone, Wilton Speight
ACT scores are usually the average of four subscores on the test. Some people don’t take the average of these scores, but rather just add them all up. While it’s not commonplace to do this, I’ve seen NCAA eligibility charts that look at the added, not average, ACT scores. That is likely the reason for the 75, which is actually a 19.
Thanks for the kind words, I will also be moving over to 247 sports with Steve as well. As some of you may remember, I started writing about recruiting here and there is no way I would be where I am today without this amazing site.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?? This is one of the most important days of the year, one that will not only have a great effect on the following months, but the rest of our lives!
I can't believe you would snub the Toledo vs Ball State game like that, shame on you.
He plays safety on defense and told me he hasn't heard much from Michigan in a while, but he is one of those guys that Michigan could start recruiting the night of National Signing Day and still land him.
Ive talked to both of them quite a bit and neither seemed worried about it. When I talked to Chance about if he was worried about competition from Shane he said "Not at all. He's a great qb but I like to think I am one too. It's just competition. Which im completely fine with."
I was talking to Donnal a few weeks ago and he told me that Dave Telep loved his game and how he fits perfectly in Dan Dockich's (Marks AAU coach) system. So that could have been a factor in the high ranking
Ive heard a lot of good things about this Mgobluegr guy, he sounds awesome.
Also, I talked with all the Cass underclassmen in attendance and I've got a feeling Will White is going to have a big day.
From what Malik has told me, I have to believe that Michigan is his leader by a lot. I wouldn't get too worried about LSU and Bama, he just likes the top teams and as long as Michigan continues to be a BCS caliber team they should be in good shape.
I've only been able to get ahold of Johnny Miggins (2014 Cass Tech DB) today and he didn't really give me anything earth shattering about the visit. He did mention that Devin looked really good at WR, he was the #3 WR FWIW.
Yeah that's what I thought, but this morning White texted me that he was going to be in Wisconsin all weekend, he might not be traveling with Hosey and Drake, I'm just not sure right now.
Michigan inivited all the Cass Tech kids back this weekend, I'm guessing it's because last weekend the coaches were too busy to really talk to them. So far the Cass Tech visitor list is:
Jayru Campbell-visiting Saturday
Johnny Miggins-Saturday
Damon Webb-Saturday and both his parents are coming with him
Will White, Deon Drake, and Gary Hosey are all visiting Wisconsin this week and as of right now will not make it.
I always liked the Gunner Kiel story. He started out as a hometown hero who people praised for choosing to try to save Indiana football. Then he became a villian selling out for one of the top programs in the country. Then bailing on LSU the last minute and showing up at ND where he will most likely fail.
I personally would like the coaches to focus on DeShone Kizer of Toldedo Catholic Central. He is probably the top 2014 QB in the Midwest and he grew up as a Michigan fan.
Yep, in my introduction series I've talked to the top 2 sophomores in Detroit and the top sophomore in toledo and they all are big Michigan fans. It will be hard for any other school to beat Michigan for them.
Tunsil is very high on Michigan. And he told Aquaman that Michigan is in his top five. But Tunsil won't be able to pay his way to Michigan for an unofficial so we have to wait until his official causing the Michigan buzz around him to be low for now.
When I talked to DeNiro Laster (2013 recruit from Cleveland) he talked about how much Frank Clark made people in the Cleveland area proud. I definitely think that the success Hoke is having in the Cleveland area recruiting wise is huge for the future.
I'm not sure if the visit happened, Garnett said he hasn't had power for two days and I have to believe it would have been very difficult for Hoke to fly into Washington with all the bad weather.
To everyone thinking its Diamond, which it very well could be. Diamond is announcing Feb. 3 and theres big production so he will not commit before then.

Al Borges: Moe Ways
Darrell Funk: Chase Winovich
Jeff Hecklinski: Ian Bunting
As you can see, the commits have been spread out among various coaches, which isn't a bad thing at all. Also, last year Jackson, Montgomery, and Mattison were all named top 50 recruiters by 247 sports with Mattison being one of 10 finalists for recruiter of the year.

I just added Hyron Edwards to the visitor list. He is the #2 PG and #11 overall player in the 2015 class according to ESPN.
I tried to think of something more creative, but it was impossible to make those jerseys look even worse. So I did this instead.
Fixed, thanks
