Really impressed with the defensive effort so far. Lots of tipped passes, good switches, and blocked shots

Coach Howard will really have to be skillful with the rotations this year because I don't think the rotation with all young guys is going to be very efficient. May not be able to help it sometimes, but more than a minute or two could be a problem.

This team looks way more fluid and functional than last years team ever did. And it’s early in the season. PFW but still.

The offense is definitely more fluid and has pieces that fit better together.

Hunter's gonna get frustrated if the ball doesn't go into the post every once in a while.

He dressed for the game, and actually threw down a monster 2 handed dunk in 2nd half warm-ups. I was surprised he didn't play.
Is he a red shirt candidate?

Looking fine so far. Rebounding may be a challenge this season.

Rebounding is not very good early in the season. This team is missing their biggest best inside player and we are still getting out rebounded by 7. Reed and Jett are our best outside shooters so far this year.

If Baker can hit 3's like that all year, it'll really open up the lane for drivers, and the paint for Hunter.

Purdue FW is the Horizon League favorite so they are at least *okay*

One caveat is that they are missing their best player but honestly my early impression is UM's offensive pieces have a chance to fit together more cohesively this year. Still see some growing pains but by tourney time this team should be dangerous again.

They're a solid mid major. Decent shot to be a 13/14 in March.

Purdue FW was supposed to be good. They won the Horizon last year and returned almost all their production from a year ago.

Michigan looks like they are good. We won't be able to tell until the competition level increases. But, they seem to be a much more cohesive unit compared to last year's team. They can shoot, defend, have speed and athleticism, and are playing well together, thus far.

Jett Howard is really talented, I hope he’s here more than one year. Baker is a sniper. Hunter is Hunter as usual. Dug is really damn quick and is aggressive on defense. Kobe looks improved.

I like this team because everyone has a role and they already know it. Which allows you to form an identity.
I don't know how good they'll be, but I'm going to enjoy watching them compete for each other.

The drop off when Hunter is out of the game is large right now.
