I hate to say this, but I have a feeling a contract extension for JH is already in place but was not announced due to the virus.....

How many "shakeups" have there been since 2015? At some point the recruiting department and the offensive and defensive coordinators (or the safeties coaches working via Zoom) aren't the problem. We learned that in 2010, we learned that in 2014.

The head coach fundamentally changed after the 2016 season. Whether it was the loss, or having a newborn babby in the house. This isn't the same guy.

The guy had 2 extra months to prepare for this year, and the results are awful.

Why is it so many players look to leave this school (either opt out, transfer or to go pro) as soon as they can? How much money does Michigan Football set on fire by bringing in guys that leave the program after 6-12 months? Ohio State doesn't have this problem.

Reality is, Harbaugh is lucky there are no fans in the stands this year. It will be 48 and rainy in AA this Saturday. People would stay away from the next 2 home games in droves. The AD would certainly take notice.

I don't think there have been that many shakeups since 2015, actually. We mostly plugged in various position coaches like every other team in the US. There was a big shakeup on offense in 2019 and our recruiting on that side of the ball is extremely promising for this upcoming class. I'll be worried about the young offense if they don't get better over the course of the year.

On defense, we've had one shakeup. DJ Durkin coached a really good defense in 2015 and left. Then we hired Don Brown and we've run the same scheme under the same coach for 5 years. Brown has been here since then, recruiting poorly. Zordich has always been here, recruiting poorly. Now we have a safeties coach who literally isn't coaching. If Brian Kelly can pull out of a funk with some coaching changes, so can Jim Harbaugh.

Hoke beat one of the worst osu teams in probably the last 100 years of modern football and they still nearly beat us.

5 other teams that were shitty in the big ten that year beat them as well.

The indiana teams hoke beat won 2 to 5 games a year as well.

Well, sometimes excuses are correct. That much turnover on offense is hard to overcome. It's even harder to overcome when you don't get to practice. I'll be singing a different tune if the offense doesn't get better over the course of the season.

My bigger concern is the defense being absolutely putrid. MSU didn't do anything special against us. They literally just took a step back and launched a million fly routes. The defense was utterly incapable of dealing with it. That's inexcusable.

I think the MSU loss was dreadful. I also think Michigan wins that game 19 times out of 20 if they play again. It's not like he had some mastermind offensive gameplan. He just chucked a bunch of fly routes to fast receivers and brutally exposed Vincent Gray. I'm all aboard the fire Don Brown train.

Turnovers were even, yards gained were even, there was nothing flukey about their victory. We were even the home team, but that doesn’t really matter this season. If we played them 20 times, I think it would be much closer to a 10-10 split than 19-1.

I completely agree but these losses just keep happening with Harbaugh as if the guy is cursed or something. The deep ball on an outside fly pattern is the lowest percentage play an offense can run. Truthfully the coverage wasn’t bad on a couple of those, but the MSU receivers kept making improbable play after play. Then you look at the “he has trouble with the snap” game, osu 2016, Iowa 2015, psu last year. These were all games that required some type of low percentage play/result to vault the opponent to victory and it keeps happening year after year. Seriously, what are the chances it always happens against you and never for you?

I’m okay with Harbaugh staying, mainly because the chances he’s fired or quits is  slim to none. I would like to see some changes on the defensive side of the ball and offensively you can’t tell me Harbaugh isn’t influencing the play calls. If he actually backs off and let’s Gattis run the show, then no other changes are needed right now. 2020 was going to be a rebuilding year before the opt outs, with them it’s an even bigger project. Hope to see some improvement and pray for a snowstorm on December 12th to at least give our guys a shot against osu.

This Hokebaugh crap has to go.

Covid or not, the other teams are dealing with the same pandemic with probably less resources and it's clear we are just being out coached, schemed, disciplined, or out talented. Doing the same thing over and over every year pretty much says we are willing to live with mediocrity.

Like I have been saying, I am sure a contract has been agreed on.  They will not announce a multi-million dollar contract when the athletic department just furloughed a bunch of employees.  The optics of that look horrible. This also means that they will not hire a new coach and give him a bunch of money either. This thing is bigger than football guys.  It’s more than just wins and losses.  He is not going anywhere unless he decides to leave.

Yes You are all true -We never should not of lost to MSU and terrible saturday -We were really not ranked this year and look at Penn St terrible 0-3 and Franklin was suppose to be great .

I see the past years  -but maybe this is one of those weird ass years of course .

Mayfield and Hayes not playing hurt ,LB's Banged up ,Maybe Indiana way better for one year than anyone thought.

Love Michigan -Whatever happens lets just get back there. But i do not want to panic and lose recruits -Two Huge CB's next year -Michigan Ties.

let's let him finish the season shithead.... all this talk doesn't help anything... They fucked up in D recruiting, made some adjustments on offense, that dont fit so perfect with the personnel... who the hell are we going to get thats going to get us to start beating OSU??

I honestly don't mind if he gets a big extension.  It will help with recruiting, and if he's that bad, trust me, we have the pockets to drop him early in the contract... that should be the last thing you are sweating in this day and age.

The seasons not over, let's talk about this shit after its over, if we want to fire him that bad EOY, don't worry, there's plenty of people that Ward can find that will lose to Ohio State every year...  And we can continue the disjointed transitioning every 3-6 years.

I'm sick and tired of all these whiney little bitches demanding the AD to do things, when they don't have the faintest idea, or even bother to suggest a plan of who to replace him with, and we're 3 games into the year.

Fickell was an interim and they sucked ass when he was their coach. They were able to hire Meyer really early because he wasn't employed at the time and he got to start recruiting early. They also had vastly more talent than any other team in the Big Ten when Meyer started. It was a really unusual situation.

Have we gotten news about the Wisconsin game being cancelled? I know I complain about how much the university pays Harbaugh for his results but at this point I’d feel better if they paid him not to coach a game.

Notre Dame fans wanted to fire Brian Kelly half of the years he’s been there.  Harbaugh hasn’t been great, but it’s like a bad Moeller or Llyod year. I didn’t watch IU Saturday.  It was my second missed game in ~33 years.  Harbaugh will bounce back.  But this year will suck.

Fuck this athletic department and fuck warde if what u say is true. If harbaugh isn’t fired by the end of the year preferably today, I will not be renewing my season tickets this year. Lose to Indiana and Michigan state who the fuck wants to watch this shit show

You want to beat Ohio State? Hire Urban Meyer and sell your soul. Or keep Harbaugh and win 8, 9 and sometime 10 games a year and quit whining. Simple.
