The turfed thrown on 4th and…

The turfed thrown on 4th and 2 was snapped with 5:45 left in the 4th (and Iowa only had 2 TOs left).

Had they converted and eventually scored - it was not 20-14 with half a quarter or 8 minutes to play... closer to 5 at that point. With Iowa's offense, 3 minutes is a big deal.

Around the 15:00 mark. It goes for like 4 minutes.

He actually mocked Donovan…

He actually mocked Donovan at Florida for the religious stuff. He wasn't happy with Beilein over McGary playing in front of him when Horford felt McGary wasn't ready and wasn't held to the same standards as everyone else on the team - and then felt slighted when Beilein never addressed the issue with him. But the religious stuff he talked about with Stu on the podcast was Donovan/UF.

There's more to the difference between walk-on and scholarship than who pays tuition.

Walk-ons don't have access to the training table, typically don't get as much free gear, some can't participate in out-of-season workouts.

If they would co-DC (I don't think they would) - that would be awesome. If not, I'd be happy with either one of those two as DC. Assuming they are also given full control of the defensive staff.

Florida, Auburn, Texas, Iowa, LSU, Penn St, USC, Miami all offered. But you already knew that. You do you, I guess.

Losing to Indiana yesterday sucked. Losing to OSU always, really sucks. But come the eff on.

And if each school plays 2 guarantee games at around $1 million each, they go from 700k to 2.7 million.

Seniors who take advantage…

Seniors who take advantage of this won't count against the limit. So every team would have a different max... 85+extra year seniors.

Yeah, I should have added…

Yeah, I should have added that I only use the Blue card for groceries/gas. Everything else with it is just 1%. So I use the Citi double card for all non-grocery/gas purchases.

Just 6% on $6,000 groceries minus the fee is $265, which is about 4.5%.

Even if you don't use it for gas - it's a great grocery-only card.

And that doesn't include any bonus for signing up for the first time.

I honestly don't know much…

I honestly don't know much about him other than he's a freshman point guard in an Izzo system, so expectations should probably be pretty moderate. Unless he can play Big Ten-level defense out of the gate.

It probably wouldn't take much for him to pass Loyer (in a normal year).

I believe it is $95 annually…

I believe it is $95 annually.

The 6% on groceries is good for first $6,000 (and then it's 1%).

The 3% on gas has a cap as well (I think $1,000? I never hit that).

Online, your rewards account is updated every month (it's a month behind) - and you can choose to either credit your account, have it deposited into a linked account, or let it sit there and grow. I've never had a problem using it and it's super easy.

AmEx has a card (Blue? I think) that is 6% back on groceries and 3% back at gas stations.

MSU has some massive backcourt depth issues if Langford can't go.

PG - Watts/Loyer/Hoggard (true frosh)

SG - Langford/Watts

SF - Henry/Brown

Take Langford out of there and you can move a SF to SG or Watts to SG and start Loyer - and have basically no back-ups. They need Langford to be healthy more than anything.

I'm not even sure he's a Plan B. One spot lower than Akins. Sure, getting Akins keeps him from State - but if Whitt wants in now, I don't think they wait for Akins.

Is Juwan really a "shoot…

Is Juwan really a "shoot your shot" guy in terms of recruiting?

He kept Franz and Zeb.

Went out and got Dickinson and Williams.

Had Todd and very possibly Christopher for a hot second.

It's not like he was out chasing Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green, guys he had no chance at.

Is Jett Howard going to be…

Is Jett Howard going to be able to play PG at the college level, or is he strictly a wing?

Two games and playing them…

Two games and playing them is really only one game back, assuming you win that game. Maryland has probably a tougher schedule to close things out. If Michigan was 11-5, they’d definitely have a chance at a share.

Yes. Top 75, I believe, on…

Yes. Top 75, I believe, on the road is a Q1.

If Livers hadn’t gotten hurt…

If Livers hadn’t gotten hurt the second time, nevermind the first, gotta think Michigan would be on a 9 game winning streak, in second place in the Big Ten and staring at a season-ending game at Maryland for at least a share of the title.

I'll eat a lemon or two if…

I'll eat a lemon or two if it any time during the regular season next year, Michigan puts Franz, Livers, Todd, Johns and Brown on the floor at the same time.

Michigan would definitely…

Michigan would definitely benefit next year with a move to 30 minute halves!

That's fair. I probably…

That's fair. I probably shouldn't have said he wouldn't get any time at the 1. It could be more him and DDJ share and Zeb gets squeezed out during his frosh year.

Christopher could also play some 3 in a DDJ-Eli-Christopher lineup if small small ball is needed - but with the wings they could have next year, that just makes it even tougher to get all those guys minutes.

Either way - it's fun to draw up scenarios where you are plugging in 2 five-stars, 3 returning starters, returning roles players making a jump, and a couple other four star freshman (oh, just four stars? jeez).

If Livers, Johns, Franz,…

If Livers, Johns, Franz, Todd are all at M next year... there are zero minutes for Brown.

I don't think Brooks is…

I don't think Brooks is going to get minutes at the 1. And you forgot Zeb.

PG - DDJ (28) Zeb (12)

SG - Brooks (18) Christopher (22) Brooks starts at start of year, Christopher by end

SF - Livers (28) Franz (12)

PF - Franz (8) Johns (12) Todd (20)

C - Davis or Castleton (18) Dickenson (17) Johns or Todd as small ball C (5)

Williams - RS or garbage time. Nunez, one of the bigs leaves. Howard RS or garbage time. Bajema - leaves or garbage time.

Todd and Christopher are both 1 and done types... they aren't coming to Michigan to play limited minutes. It's also why Brown won't end up at Michigan. Where will the minutes come from? Even if Livers goes pro - that's time absorbed by Franz and Todd.

Michigan needs an infusion…

Michigan needs an infusion of athleticism badly. Zeb, Christianson, come on down. Without Livers the limitations of this roster are very apparent.

They probably won't, but…

They probably won't, but they should kick the tires on Kevin Wilson, warts and all. Bring an offense guy in... maybe get Ramsey to come with him. Would certainly be a better hire than most of the realistic non-Fickell possibilities.

More assists than shots for…

More assists than shots for Simpson:

2019-2020

8-0, wins over Houston Baptist, Iowa St., North Carolina, Gonzaga, Iowa, Presbyterian, Lowell, Rutgers. (was even in the loss to Oregon).

2018-2019

14-1, wins over Norfolk St., Holy Cross, Providence, North Carolina, Air Force, Binghampton, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Maryland again, Iowa (B10T), Minny again (B10T), Montana, Florida. Lost to MSU (B10T). (was even in wins over Rutgers and South Carolina).

2017-2018

8-1, wins over N. Flor., Chaminade, VCU, Jacksonville, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Montana. Lost to LSU. (even in a win over Detroit). The LSU loss he had 2 shots and 0 assists in 10 minutes.

30-2 when assists>shots. 33-3 when it's assists greater than or equal to shots.

One more open spot? Are you…

One more open spot? Are you assuming Austin Davis won't be back for a 5th year? If not, they have:

Davis

Brooks, Livers

DeJulius, Johns, Castleton, Nunez

Bajema, Wagner

Jackson, Todd, Dickinson, Williams

That's 13 and no room for one more. I realize they will recruit for attrition, but how do they have at least one more open slot?

Because Uche played in games…

Because Uche played in games 1, 2, 3, and 4 - thus was eligible for a redshirt with injury documentation.

McKeon played in games 1, 2,…

McKeon played in games 1, 2, 4 and 6 in 2016 (his freshman year). So he wouldn't be eligible to apply for a redshirt. The new rule where you can play in 4 games at any time in the season and still redshirt doesn't apply to seasons before it was enacted.

Believe that was McDoom.

The two is a ???? but we're guessing it's Teske despite being huge for the two because that seems the most promising lineup.

Probably meant to type Franz, but I'm already talking myself into SG Teske.
