Bufkin to the Hawks
Title says it all, Bufkin goes to the Hawks at 15 just outside the lottery
That's a pretty good landing spot
Congrats to Jett and Kobe, and to all the Michigan coaches for their successes in getting their players' NBA dreams realized!
Wish him the best! Go Blue!
(Is it okay I regret he's not back with UM next year? Same with Jett?)
That’s the most confusing sentence I’ve ever read. I’m not even sure what you’re asking.
I'm glad for Kobe and Jett though I still wish they were coming back.
Seems clear to me.
Sure wish Kobe was coming back. We would make the tournament for sure
A good spot. That's a deep team so he'll have to fight for minutes but he's a good player and I think he'll find his niche.
My guess is either Murray or Young will be dealt, which would open up some space.
I doubt they move on from Young and they just got Murray last year. Bufkin should be able to get some minutes spread between those two as the backup.
The draft coverage on ABC is terrible.
Can’t be as bad as the ESPN coverage. One of the women hosts said, “From Lansing to the League!” when Jett was drafted. She also said that his dad was drafted 19 years ago (it was 29 years ago).
Sports broadcasting is so bad. Accuracy and actual knowledge of the players names is pathetic. Local TV sports lady commented on a LPGA golfer that was 28 months pregnant.
DUH!!!!
I watch her to get a laugh on all of the glaring mistakes.....
They are just now talking about Kobe on ABC

Reporting in general us in a pathetic state. I can't tell you how many times I've read an article that didn't answer an obvious question or questions about the matter.
ABC and ESPN are one and the same as far as sports broadcasts go.
Safe to say they made the correct decisions in leaving early despite this being a loaded draft. 11th and 15th are nothing to sneeze at.
This is a historically bad draft top to bottom. Was the perfect year for them to leave early due to this
Where do you see that? All pundits I saw rates this overall class as "deep / strong". I don't dive into any analytics, blogs, or rankings though
Next year is historically bad. This year is not.
So we had NBA picks 11 and a 15 and an All American center and didn’t make the NCAA tournament? Ugh.
One was drafted on potential (Jett) and the other was good for most of the season before he became awesome.
exactly. i wish them all great success, but man, now do you have that much talent (and potential) and have such a dismal season? losing to CMU at home was pretty close to rock bottom. yeesh.
NBA drafts on potential. We didn't have a go to scorer or ball handler to finish games.
We actually did have a scorer and ball handler in Kobe and the best offensive center in college basketball in Hunter to finish games
Apparently you didn't watch the games.
We lost so many leads in the last minute it was pathetic....
It's admissions fault!!!
^this
It's frustrating that we keep losing players while programs like MSU convince guys to stay 5 years. But, it's really hard to argue these kids are making the wrong decision when they are going in the top 15.
Good luck to Kobe and Jett. Good luck to Coach Howard trying to rebuild. Hopefully he can use this as recruiting ammo to show he is getting guys to the NBA consistently.
