I've been to Rutgers twice, once in 2016 and once in 2018. That was enough for me. No matter how many incredible Michigan games I cover or experience, that 2016 game will always have a place in my heart in the top 10 sporting events I've ever attended. But too much time at SHI Stadium is like spending too much time in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and the amount of unexploded cannon powder that my body may have been exposed to has reached its limit, any more could have detrimental health impacts. And for all that, Paul Sherman and David Wilcomes have our undying thanks for picking up the mantle this weekend and covering this game.
Not only were they exposed to cannon-fire in an open field, they had to go through whatever that STUPID RIDICULOUS RUTGERS LIGHT SHOW THING WAS that started before touchdown signals were even given. Paul almost got trucked. At least the cannon fire ceased in the second half.
With Greg Schiano back at the helm at Rutgers, they've gone from Fun Bad to just generically bad, which for the average viewer is quite the "meh" experience. Still, the first half was karma for our heckling at the Ohio State Northwestern game. Thank you to all who repented their sins at halftime.
No photographers were critically injured by live cannon fire. Or if they were they did not reach out for workers comp. Yet.
Go follow them on all the things.

Awesome stuff. I really admire your skills. I've tried action shots, and mine mostly suck. Yours are great!

Love these. They did fire the cannon again at the very end of the game, which was a final fuck you to all fans in attendance.
(That said, I thought the stadium, fans, concessions, shuttles to/from town were all pretty nice)
