I don't know what's going on with safeties coach Bob Shoop so I can't judge who's responsible for the fact that he's not with the team this year. Why are they having Daxton Hill set up like he's Tyree Kinnell against a walk-on named Lutz when the WHOLE DANG POINT of using Daxton Hill as a safety is he doesn't have to cheat to the slot fade to cover it?

• How they used Ben Mason: you've got a great fist and you can use him to scare people: Seth thinks the MLB screwed up his fit on the 70-yard Charbonnet run because he was terrified of a Ben Mason gap appearing on the other side of the formation.
• What happened to split zone? It's still in the arsenal; the great thing about this game is it had counters.
• Is Minnesota's defense terrible? Michigan accentuated their flaws.

FORMATION NOTES: First, a complaint. This game was spent in extreme pore-o-vision when Minnesota had the ball so there are a number of plays where I have no idea what the coverage shell is because I can barely see outside the box. Many attempts are extrapolated guesses.
