But this isn't every game. It's The Game.
Talk to an O$U fan about Cooper. Their biggest problem with him was that he treated this game like every other game. It was reflected in his teams' performances in The Game, even when they had the better team.
Harbaugh's prep doesn't LOOK like he treats this game like it's a special one. Seems like we've found our Cooper. Puts up a lot of wins, fields good talent, and recruits well, but does not fair well in The Game.
I was expecting losses to OSU, ND, and PSU before the season started.
The problem is that how we did all year made me believe we were better than what we put out there yesterday. Even with the mollywopping we took, I still think we could have taken 2 of 5 from them if we'd caught them at the right time.
But yesterday was set to be what it turned out to be from the get-go. Even when the score was close, the game didn't feel it, and I'm not even sure the game was as close as the final score indicated.
Still, I will be hopeful again in the late summer next year. I always am.
More than the QBs, but the passing game, yeah. The fact that Haskins could have pitched a tent and built a campfire before getting rid of the ball a few times seems like it played a role, too.
