Our players have always tended to lack either height or strength. Walton is strong but tiny. Our bigs have plenty of height, but good lord. You just don't see guys get backed down the way ours do too often.

Ish Smith went undrafted and had to work up from the D League. That's also Walton's only chance.

No. Trey Burke was a significantly better college player (at a younger age), and he's on the verge of being out of the league. Small point guards with average athleticism just don't make it in today's NBA. He's had a great run in the last few weeks, but for most of 3 years he's struggled at score at the rim even against college competition. He'll be a solid European player.

The guards just can't hit the big men when they're open on rolls. It's a tough pass, but they keep flashing open and getting missed.

Team should run through Wilson next year. He's talented enough to take another big leap.

And Teske can't provide that, but with the added benefit of possibly contributing to the game?
