This offense is embarrassing.

This offense is embarrassing. Can Beilein not count? Wasting every possession by bouncing the air out of the ball is simply a bad strategy when you start doing it with 5 minutes left.

Purdue's press is awful. We

Purdue's press is awful. We could have had a 3-2 or 4-3 every single time.

We understand that there's 5

We understand that there's 5 minutes left in the game, right? They're running offense like it's time to just sit on the ball.

I'd love to know Donnal's +/-

I'd love to know Donnal's +/- for this season. It feels like about -472.

We're down 16-0 in second

We're down 16-0 in second chance points.

1-3-1 will make that 40-0 before the end of the game.

Well, my apologies to Irvin.

Well, my apologies to Irvin. I still think he's a bench player at this point in his career, but some crafty old man buckets here.

DJ Wilson needs to gain some

DJ Wilson needs to gain some weight. I mean, wow. That was sad.

Wilson's shot blocking

Wilson's shot blocking instinct is too inconsistent. He sometimes misses pretty obvious help scenarios.

We either need a fair whistle

We either need a fair whistle or fantastic 3 point shooting. We're not going to win without one of them.

It's nice that they're trying

It's nice that they're trying to boost his confidence and all, but at some point it becomes a team imperative to get him to STOP shooting.

Because a layup isn't a

Because a layup isn't a contested fade away 2, which means it isn't a Zak Irvin shot

PSA: Irvin has made 11 of his

PSA: Irvin has made 11 of his last 48 shot attempts.

Take out the Wisconsin game and it's 5 of 36. It's beyond time for him to become a bench player.

Irvin.

Irvin.

Bricking a contested long-range 2 should result in immediate benching at the next whistle for him. It's like his vice.

As usual, getting crushed on

As usual, getting crushed on the glass is the difference. 6 to 1 in offensive rebounds. Most of theirs have resulted in easy putbacks.

Walton isn't trying to take

Walton isn't trying to take anyone off the dribble. He has to penetrate more.

Irvin is just awful. I mean

Irvin is just awful. I mean it's inexplicable that he's still given the opportunity to pound the ball for ten seconds as his jerks into a no-rim long 2.

Anyone else ever feel like

Anyone else ever feel like Donnal is that dude that just doesn't want the basketball because he's afraid of embarrassing himself? His rolls look like he's trying not to get open.

Our players have always

Our players have always tended to lack either height or strength. Walton is strong but tiny. Our bigs have plenty of height, but good lord. You just don't see guys get backed down the way ours do too often.

Ish Smith went undrafted and

Ish Smith went undrafted and had to work up from the D League. That's also Walton's only chance.

No. Trey Burke was a

No. Trey Burke was a significantly better college player (at a younger age), and he's on the verge of being out of the league. Small point guards with average athleticism just don't make it in today's NBA. He's had a great run in the last few weeks, but for most of 3 years he's struggled at score at the rim even against college competition. He'll be a solid European player.

The guards just can't hit the

The guards just can't hit the big men when they're open on rolls. It's a tough pass, but they keep flashing open and getting missed.

Team should run through

Team should run through Wilson next year. He's talented enough to take another big leap.

And Teske can't provide that,

And Teske can't provide that, but with the added benefit of possibly contributing to the game?

Can someone help me

Can someone help me understand what value Mark Donnal brings on a basketball court?
