Social media is the primary problem. People type things that they would never say in person. There are very few consequences for being an asshole on the internet.
My boss is a moron; however, there is more than sufficient evidence that Jim Harbaugh is a brilliant coach, talent identifier and player developer. He is respected by his peers as one of the top men in his field and has seen a high level of success on collegiate and pro levels. He is definitely quirky and socially awkward, but he isn’t a moron in any sense of the word.
Don’t take offense - it’s not that a good diary isn’t a great contribution to the site. The hard work and writing that go into these are appreciated. But the ratio of new message board threads to new diaries is incredibly lopsided. That’s why people want to see more message board topics than diaries. It’s all about how easy it is to FIND and ACCESS new content across the site. With all respect - keep writing good diaries and they will continue to be appreciated for what they are.
Seth, thanks for letting us know what’s being worked on. It helps knowing that you’re aware of certain issues and what your priorities are. Much appreciated
