It’s been many years since I’ve sat in the stands at Michigan Stadium but being on the sidelines I’ve always thought crowd noise is not that big of a deal. It certainly gets quieter as you move towards midfield on the home or west sidelines. At times you “feel” the crowd when in the end zones but it’s nothing like Columbus. When on the field in Columbus and the stadium is completely empty you can clearly hear someone in a very soft voice speaking from all way the across to the far end zone. Really amazing acoustics.

Beck “Live with Jan Hammer” was in my car cassette player on the way to the slopes after 1977-78. With the introduction of the Walkman it was in my head down the hills. I swear this guy made me a better skier! What a talented artist.

Not my kind of music and not…

Not my kind of music and not familiar with the acts other than Eminem. I would have been happier with more shots of the Chevy Impalas and maybe a peek inside and under the hoods.

Always enjoy working these…

Always enjoy working these games when I'm on the sidelines and interacting with the teams. Great people to work with and I have to admit the most respectful players we deal with but I guess you would expect that to be the case. Would absolutely love to attend this game live but without an act of congress I don't see that happening.

Farjo did mine. Tried to make myself believe my shoulder would improve without surgery. I figured at the age of 55 why do I need to ever throw a ball of any kind again. When you can’t sleep at night anymore because it’s impossible to be comfortable... you have the surgery. P.T. Is hard but do it correctly after surgery and you will improve. Initially remember that ice is your best friend. It’s been several years now for me and I still do many of the exercises I learned in PT but the key is do them correctly!

My job on the sidelines…

My job on the sidelines requires that I be in relatively close contact with not only media and team personnel but volunteers, staff members law enforcement and so on. I literally come into contact with hundreds of people every game so this topic has given me concern ever since this virus hit our shores. I personally would not feel comfortable working games unless I knew everyone I came into contact with could prove they were virus free via a point of contact clearance of some kind. I’m in that 60+ age group with grandchildren who I haven’t been able to see for a few weeks, and I certainly hope to be able to visit with at some point soon. As things stand right now doing what I love to do and have done every Sat. for many years just doesn’t look very promising.
