Thank you to this team, thank you to the MGOBLOG writers, and thank you to the poster for making this a truly remarkable season… now that I have enough points, I can’t wait to post a diary about what this means to me
My hope is that we have hit our typical in-game lull and will regain our stride (i.e. hit us in the 3rd vs Bama, but have but in this fucking slumber since the 2nd here)
I know most are focused on the offense, rightfully so. But we need the defense to repeat what they did the 1st half against Bama. They play like that for 30 minutes and it won’t matter.
Reggie Bush, on the pregame, said he suffered a similar injury to Corum and it shelved him for 2-3 weeks. So barring any set back, he should be back by the CFP. Provided we take care of business next week.
I hate to post this here, but I have two tickets left to this game. I wish I could go lower than the $145 but I’m trying to at least recoup what I paid for 4 (I paid $631.25 for four - the three people I was supposed to go with tested positive for COVID this week). They are listed on StubHub.
Why is explosiveness only associated with the passing game? What is the difference between a 50 yard pass and a 50 yard run? I find it odd that you pick such arbitrary passing numbers to use as a benchmark. Do those numbers guarantee conference and national championships? Alabama won the national title last year and they averaged under 200 yards/game over 15 games. Does the offense still have room for improvement? Absolutely. But how total yards and yards per game are achieved shouldn’t matter. Furthermore, how often are these QB’s that are throwing for massive amounts of yards doing it against terrible defenses? And how often do these same QB’s not show up when it matters most?
Matt Cassel never even started a game at USC. His career numbers at USC were 20-33 for 192 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, and 11 rushes for 92 yards. Yet, he was still drafted (7th round). With the demonstration of talent he presented the last three games and with the possibility to further showcase his talent at the combine, he easily could be a 2nd through fourth round pick (depending on performance at the combine).

H-O-L-Y Shit
One, Uno, Ein, Yi… more stop
WIN THE FUCKING GAME!!!
Full on fucking Iowa
Worst offensive turnaround I have seen, especially to a defense like this…
Door dash
I hope we break trend after all the other gifts we’ve gotten
I don’t understand how you can have such a great first quarter and then completely forget how to call a game for the middle 30
Just waiting to get my heart ripped out after the offense has completely shit the bed the last 30 minutes
Can’t throw and it’s showing…

What a fucking joke, same story, different day
No screens, no quick flares, no RPO, no zone read, what the fuck are we waiting for? They are hyper aggressive against the run, lets effing use it
Stop shooting ourselves in the fucking foot
LFG WILL FUCKING JOHNSON

Please learn from last game and do not come out flat in the 3rd
Can we please stop calling this game like it’s the NFL

Second Michigan QB ever with 3000 passing yards in a season.
Jake needs only 25 more yards for 3000 on the season... I say leave him in and try and get it.
