ON GRANTLAND AND BEING DUMB
In case anyone was worried about either of us getting hired away by ESPN, we spend 15 minutes calling John Skipper dumb and explaining why the sudden demise of Grantland is a petulant bite of the thumb directed at Bill Simmons. Also we then talk about the quote-unquote "big leagues" and how they are a trap.
If you're curious, this is the article I'm referring to when I talk about how Skipper paid well over the odds for a bunch of events.

It all makes sense with Morris now. He's transferring after the season and wants the redshirt so he can graduate and play 2 years elsewhere.

the discussion about Morris leaving -- I think it crosses the line of speculating on who will and who won't stay. I thought this kind of thing was off limits for you guys.
also great job, open mike eagle (who has now earned the title "scheduled performance eagle" due to his popularity)

If this is his RS year and he transfers at the end of this year, he'll need to sit out a year and only play in his 5th year. Isn't that right?

not if he graduates

I didn't know he was on track to graduate this year. Good for him regardless of football.

But is Oakland still in play?

Re: the "John Skipper is an idiot" segment.
I am not an advertising/media guru but it's pretty obvious to me why ESPN wouldn't go to a commercial break during a game that nobody is able to tune into. It's where their bread is buttered. They kinda have to wait until our game is actually on the air so that we can effectively Obey. Consume. Do not question authority.
