Beware of poems
Posted here on MGoBlog
Insults will follow

If you write in verse
Expect posters here to curse
Say, “They suck” or worse

In rhyme or haiku
Their abuse will follow you
That I know is true

*  I've tried some 14-line rhyming commentaries on MGoBlog that typically bring insults from posters like Bando Calrissian (who never seems to "get" them), RedGreene (who'll illustrate his hatred, comic-book style -- though I actually find that to be creative, though unnecessarily nasty) and YakAttack (who says they all suck), among others.

I can't begrudge their right to use destructive criticism, because they're entitled to the "freedom" to abuse.  I suspect that in the Era of MGoBlog Down Voting, they and others like them would've brought my MGoPoints into negative territory.  So to appease those who've been annoyed by my weekly 14-line "rhyme crimes," I've decided to stop them.

But kudos to you, might and main for trying to keep occasional creativity on this board alive!

There’s something over which I’m mulling.
Does “pulling” REALLY rhyme with “culling?”

. . .
A lesson learned from mates and blokes
Was “different strokes for different folks.”
If they hate yer songs, oh well.
Just tell ‘em all to go to hell.
Don't give it up or start a-cryin'
Go back to work 'n keep on tryin'.
If one says, "super;"  one says, "waste."
Just understand, it's all in taste.

I've taken the hint from the insults I've received on MGoBlog, so I've stopped writing weekly 14-line rhyming commentaries here.

Wha? I never thought I'd see the day when people didn't recognize haikus as a proper expression tool on MGoBlog. Don't diss on an old tradition...c'mon

Borges is not good

Execution excuse sucks

We must improve now

Or, alternatively...

Dear MGoBloggers

WTF happened to you?

Stop falling apart

(you know you still love this team, no matter how much you say you don't care if we lose anymore)
