I got to hear wrestling coach Bormet talk before the spring game. Apparently the transfer portal for college wrestling is hugely competitive. It's a ton of work keeping on top of your roster, knowing what holes you have, who's coming, who's going, and who's changing weight class.
Tough dude. He should be ranked 4th coming into next season with graduates moving on.
He gave Mason plenty in this match. At one point he hurt Mason with an over the top beast move that did not result in points.
He does not look much smaller but I don’t think he tops out at 285. Looks like he built himself into that weight class.

His brother wrestled and got his degree from Michigan before transferring to Northwestern 2 years ago. Both qualified for NCAA’s this year, with Lucas placing.
