Women's Water Polo Team Upsets UCLA

Ran across a pretty cool post on Twitter just now. The M Women's Water Polo team upset UCLA today. UCLA was ranked #4 in the country coming into today's game.

What's even cooler is, the M women have played UCLA in Water Polo 23 previous times in regular & postseason and had never beaten them.

Great win ladies! Go Blue!

Yes, it's a bit like baseball where good teams geographically have been centralized in one psrt of the country. There's probably even less parity.

And yeah, Harbaugh's daughter is a Fr on the team.

The coach was on Harbaugh's Attack Each Day Podcast last week if you want to know more. They have a brutal road schedule to maximize the travel for this trip, and then have a lay off with their conference schedule starting a month of so later.

I'm not current on the AED podcasts but do listen and thought I remembered them discussing that.  Wasn't sure if it was swim team or water polo.

Think his oldest (or middle kids?) went to Coronado H.S. - San Diego - and I know that is a big water polo school.

Cracks me up when I hear all the crap about him looking for other jobs.  Believe he has a son graduating UM this year.  Daughter freshman.  Young kids and their grandparents walking distance from campus.  He's not getting fired and he's not leaving anytime soon.
