Whoever is controlling the in game music needs to be fired

Maybe I'm just frustrated with that performance but HOLY FUCK. Whoever is working as the stadium DJ has no idea how to hype up the crowd. Probably will get bolivia'd for this but needed to say it.

They played Despacito.

The MMB should have supreme control over all music selections, whether it is them playing or piped-in, as I think they will probably have WAY better taste than the idiots actually doing the job.

Continues to provide insight into M football.  Brandy continues to try to be a play by play guy. I watch on tv and sinc the img to the game, difficult, but better than listening to abc guys. At least I learn some of our players names, that is when brandy isn't messing up.  Metellus goes all the way.  ok Hill.  Ha

Brandy is average at color and terrible at play by play. Dierdorf is a pto that homers it up because he works for his beloved university now. It is more frustrating now because Brandy wants to do both and remind us constantly that he played too just like the HOFer sitting next to him. Someone needs to remind Him that the great Pat Summerall didn't need to mention his NFL career, he just called the games.

I was pro "rawk music" back in the 2011 under the lights game most notably. I could be wrong but that felt like the starting point of it. It has a lot of potential and there are plenty of songs/beats/vibes that appeal to ALL generations. With that being said, the music played today was horrendous. I do not support it any longer if that is the intended direction them please, stop!

I don't mind too much when they play rawk music, but I draw the line when they start playing Justin Timberlake and Bieber. It's cool when they play the occasional Seven Nation Army, and it was awesome when they played Mr. Brightside and the student section sang the whole chorus, but the modern pop stuff is just annoying.

That was the one good example of piped in music... It was AFTER the MMB played "Can't Turn You Loose" and there was a short lull between that and the start of the 4th quarter.  Mr. Brightside has become a classic kareoke song that is not 7NA or Buttercup or Sweet Carolina.  I'm a fan of this use of it.

Everything else?  Kill it with fire.

They let an collossal douchebag DJ onto their turf and play this kind of swill.

Never should have happened.

Mic up the best goddamned band in the land,  play something and entertain us.

Yeah, Mr. Brightside and Despacito? The DJ deserves a right beating.

Was at the game today and thought the same. Crazy loud coming out of those speakers. Regardless of the music, it just didn't sound good. Maybe pipe it down some. I'm sure they can find an acceptable mix of music for all folk, but I prefer the band.

I will pay $100 for anyone who sneaks in a banner that says MMB is all we need or something similar/more creative next week.  Banner must get on TV.

I am not kidding

Of all the complaints there are to choose from, you choose he doesn't know how to hype up the crowd and he plays despacito?

Despacito is straight fire.

Can't stand piped in music myself. But if they ever do play it, the MMB should be allowed and encouraged to jam over the top of whatever song is playing and take it over.

Having snuck into the student section a couple of times in recent years, you guys in these threads are really fighting against the future. Yesterday, students were going fucking crazy for This Is How We Do It. You are never going to get back to a time when people are hype asfuck to hear Temptation.

I was at the Big Ten Tournament in D.C. this past year and hearing Purdue's pep band play songs like Master of Puppets, Bulls on Parade, and other less common Marching Band tunes was amazing. Rather than the piped in crap I would rather them cover a couple of more modern tunes and not hear any piped in music. But for the love of god if I hear Despacito when I go to the Air Force game next week I will run up to the booth and punch the DJ in the ear.
