What happens if we lose tonight?

I’ve been thinking that this is a real possibility based on how we’ve looked so far. Is anyone else actually nervous about losing to Rutgers? Or is this game a guaranteed W?

Also, what do you think happens if we lose? I think if we lose tonight it cements Harbaughs fate and also guarantees that I won’t watch another game this year. What about you?

guaranteed W? You must be joking. That does not exist anymore.

I expect Michigan to lose every game now. Pretty sad.

Really?  You're not going to watch any more if we  lose?

I'm a fan.  Fans watch and don't declare their petty intentions of watching or not.

We've lost so many players to the NFL draft and transfer portal.  We don't have the depth to overcome those losses on defense and the OL.

Look at IU against OSU today...IU is clearly a better team than our youthful guys without much experience.

I’m assuming if we lose we’ll be 1-4. It’s a pandemic yr. Everyone needs to take a breath, put down the Harbaugh pitchforks and be thankful for your health.

If team comes out flat like last week they will lose.  If they do lose in a similar fashion as last week, JH has lost the locker room and he will be gone after the season.   The attitude of this team at the start will dictate the  outcome.   Rutgers will be seriously fired up for this.  They smell blood in the water.

Do you realize 7 of our last 9 loses have been by 17 points or more. You have to go back to the 1930’s to find a worse record. Just another terrible stat for this coaching staff.

Nothing will happen. The powers that be at UM will give Jim the rest of the season before something has to be done, either extending him or mutually parting ways. Jim can lose every game the rest of the year and he will not be fired.

I’m honestly nervous for tonight. As poorly as the team has played, it’s a game the team should win—and they haven’t shown a lot of grit or growth this season. Not a lot to gain, and a whole lot to lose. The outcome will make me feel no different on the season or worse, so maybe I should just drink heavily.

I'll rewatch the Bordeleau goal winner from last night another 150 times. Maybe I'll just do that and drink a lot of Bulleit instead of watching the football game.

Sadly, nothing changes.  A melancholy Harbaugh addresses the media and says the same post-game drivel.  And the rest of us wonder what the hell has happened in Ann Arbor.
