What's status on stadium renovations?

Even on weekends. Looks like they are doing more interior type things right now.

most of the exterior should be done-ish by the end of this summer.
after the 09 season, the press box comes down.

We will know the true effect of the expansion on the sound of the stadium this fall. I am very curious to see this. The glass will be put in. The only thing is the spoiled and worthless in regards to sound won't be up in their sound proof boxes, so more fanatic fans can come to the games.

Getting some of the quieter old Blues out of the seats from which someone might be heard and into a place where they can't hear nets out into an opportunity for someone louder!

I'm not convinced that many of the old quiet alumnae will be moving into the boxes. I think we're talking about different classes of fans. 1. Old alums who have had season tix forever but may not have the levels of wealth to afford the luxury boxes. 2. Luxury boxes purchased largely by whatever corporate entities remain viable in Michigan.
Any sound gain is going to come primarily from the structural changes to the stadium, not the displacement of the 'down in front' older fans.

I assume this refers to people who have had a lot of financial success after graduating from Michigan. I think it's a low blow. These people may not cheer the loudest but they support the UM community in ways middle income people could never do. They finance our buildings, they build study centers for student athletes, and continue to build the brand that is so appealing to new recruits. Yes, they may be spoiled, most of them have earned it, but they definitely aren't worthless.
