What's going on with IU hoops?

Indiana suspended Troy Williams and Stanford Robinson today over failed drug tests. This comes just days after Devin Davis jumped in front of Emmit Holt's car. Holt and Davis were drunk. All four players got four game suspensions, even though Devin Davis is in the hospital. Interesting, lenient punishments.

Will be an interesting story to follow as Indiana is already thin at all positions as Noah Vonleh (NBA), and Will Sheehy (graduated) are gone. Sheehy and Vonleh were second and third in minutes played for the Hoosiers last year behind Yogi Ferrel. Robinson and WIlliams were fourth and seventh in minutes played.

Jeremy Hollowell, who was fifth in minutes played last year, transfered to Georgia State. Luke Fischer who played 10 min per game last year, transfered to Marquette. Austin Etherington who also played more than 10 min per game, transfered to Butler.

So to recap, Indiana lost 5 of their top 11 this offseason. And another three of their top 11 are suspended the first four games.

Indiana plays  MSVSU, Texas Southern, SMU and Lamar to open the season. SMU looks like a gauranteed loss. I wonder if Yogi Ferrell, Hanner Mosquera-Perea and a bunch of freshman and walk ons can beat any of the other teams?
