We're now halfway between the 2022-23 & 2023-24 CFB seasons .......
The last game of the 2022-23 CFB season was on Monday 9-January. The first game of the 2023-24 CFB season is on Saturday 26-August. There is a 229-day gap between those dates.
I suppose the "official" halfway point would be 5:30 AM ET Thursday (the Georgia/TCU game ending at 11 PM ET, and one of the Week 0 games will likely kick at Noon ET).
But I think we're close enough to halfway to merit a post. Something to look forward to. :-)
So for Spartan fans, it's all downhill from here.
It's already been downhill!
They played their last game in November (!!!), so they hit their halfway point a few weeks ago. :-)
It's been pretty much down hill for them since 2015. The KW3 season being the outlier, but that season locked Mel into his outrageous contract so it's debatable gow "great" that season was in retrospect.
Commencing countdown to East Lansing assplosion!
gonna be an even shorter wait after next year with the CFP championship game being January 20 and then probably moving up the start of the season to week 0. Always envious of MLB and their miniscule offseason. College football is on its way
Interesting coincidence that, at 52 and 73 days, I'm also half way through my life today.
...otherwise known as the College Football Solstice.
Hahahaaaaaaa
How about this: If I went back in time from the start of this upcoming season to the point that I started sitting in my current seats in the big house (1976), I would be watching Harry Kipke's first season as Head Coach in 1929. It wasn't that memorable of a season.

Methuselah, how have you been?
October was a rough month for stock investors during Kipke's season.

It's been 1250 days since OSU has beaten Michigan in football.
Great call, NittanyFan.
Therefore we’re approximately 15 days from starting the 100 day countdown posts.
Technically (forgive me for being pedantic) -- it's still 122 days until U-M football. It's 115 days until any sort of FBS college game (Week 0).
----
As it is though, since today is the 123rd day of 2023 --- we're essentially at the halfway point for BOTH (1) college football as a whole and (2) Michigan football specifically.
You shall be.....the Fellowship of the National Championship Ring
Here's to hoping just enough of a passing game will be developed in a way it won't be foreign when needed
I agree. I feel like those pick 6s were a result of JJ throwing more than he had up until then. Use those body bag games and pass like you are down 14 until you get a 28 pt lead. Then you can sit on the ball. Use those as practice on what we need to work on.
So, we have reached the Offseason Bisector, correct?
Still, the doldrums of June and July around here....well, we find our own fun.
