Except for the fact that the rules that the teams agreed to (arbitrary as they may be) mean that OSU isn’t eligible for the title game. They’re obviously the best team in the conference, but if the rules aren’t going to be upheld, doesn’t that make the B1G look even more like a joke? It makes the conference look like they’re pandering to OSU even when they’re still likely to get selected for the CFP.

I don't care what your actual perspective is on these rules or what should be made of them...this is a terrible answer on Warde's part even beyond that.

Like they would come close to doing this for us. What a joke.

I'm going to provide a statement below, think about it and how absolutely ridiculous it is, and then maybe you will see why the B1G is reconsidering the rules (that have been constantly changing since early summer).  Ready?  Here it comes.....

OSU is left out of the conference championship as an undefeated team that beat the 2nd place team head to head because another team had to cancel the last game of the season.  However, had that team played OSU and beat them, a 1 loss OSU would have advanced to the conference championship.

What is he supposed to say when asked about that situation?    I had a client a couple of years ago that we had a $750,000 bid contract for low voltage systems on their new building.  Halfway through they asked if we did the job for less than anticipated, would we be willing to give back some of the profit.  The answer given was “we can definitely look at it”, but that was a hollow reply.

the ironic part is that they are an insurance company and my first thought was to ask them if they refund any premiums to customers.  I’m a customer so the answer would be no.
