I won't hang up and listen, if you truly believe your "fans don't support and condone the crap that was going on" then why are you dropping c-bombs and then calling a person who you have never met a "whore".

whether they are "in the know" or "told a superior" actually no longer matters.  it is clear that there is a cultural problem just by the sheer number of incidents, period full stop.  That cultural problem starts at the top.  So even if they didn't know, they preside over an organization that fosters this behaviour.

President gone, AD gone. Izzo and Dantonio are coaches. They coach teams. They don't make policy, they don't make administrative decisions, they coach student athletes. MSU did look into Izzo and Dantonio with a private firm and no wrong doing was found. This isn't Baylor or PSU. I'm done with this topic. You guys want to remain ignorant on this topic so there's no point in discussion.

I'm not sure if you just don't understand this, or if you're being intentionally obtuse, or what... the law firm that MSU hired to "investigate" Izzo and Dantonio was hired to form the basis of their defense, not to go out of their way to find wrong doing.

The real question is: "Does your program deserve to be trashed?"  They've refused to take responsibility with the exception of bare minimum after the fact reactions only to save face.  So I will continue to trash your program until they prove they aren't an ethical dumpster fire.

sjon has been fine.  his grant perry comment, while wrong, is hardly flaming or trolling.  and you know what, he might not know the details of a g. perry incident like we do, and he might actually learn that there is nowhere near the moral equivalence issue in those 2 scenarios.  maybe, just maybe, he might be persuaded to come around on that issue, and others.

They’re calling him a FELON, for what he did. So, if Spartyjonboy is fine then why don’t you invite him to your house. I don’t like the fact that every time some crap comes up they revert to the Harbaugh’s playing felons on the field. He will never have a felony permanently on his record from that crap!

But he did initially get charged with sexual assault and pled guilty to felony resisting arrest. I'm also aware he can have it removed from his record at age 24. I'm also not so naive as to know if a Spartan did the same thing he would have been charged with a misdemeanor resisting arrest or littering. I didn't call Perry a felon, nor will I, because I know the Ingham county prosecutor's office is crooked as all get up. If I got as many driving on suspended license charges as LJ Scott I know I would have served jail time. I was speaking to Harbaugh allowing Perry to stay on the team. Dantonio dismissed Corley (who UM recruited by the way) and company from the team as soon as charges were filed. I know it's not apples to apples, but to say Dantonio/Izzo just let stuff slide is patently ignorant. There were (possibly are) major problems at MSU, to be sure. But Paula Lavigne made outright lies, lies of omission, and basically tried to profit from the horrible Nassar situation. She's using the survivors and trying to drag in Izzo/Dantonio into the mud. She's a liar and morally bankrupt.

If a reporter made lies about your school? If they used the horrible circumstances of innocent victims to try to implicate Harbaugh or Beilein because of something your AD and Gymnastics/Volleyball/whatever coach did wrong?

and should never be used.  for instance the words you used in this post i'm replying to are fine and appropriate. i may disagree with that assessment, but i take no exception to how you expressed it.  also, to get so worked up about the technicalities of her report that you use such extreme and foul language, but to so easily walk past the huge, huge, huge issues at your school is contradictory, to say the least.

disappointed.  thought you had completely gotten on board as a rival fan with valued input, able to not even take the bait for the occasional (and inevitiable) undeserved shot, but not so.

that said, i'm just one lone poster so who cares.

You really need to rethink your position about Izzo and Dantonio, and their respective lack of doing a damn thing about the rape culture in EL. Otherwise you will continue to be called out on this site. It is what it is.

And he's complaining about it?! Imagine that, being punished for your conduct. Like, I don't know, you do something wrong and maybe someone blows the whistle... Referees are not above the law.

Good.  He's objectively terrible at his job at this point (maybe he was better earlier, I honestly don't remember), but there is no reason he should be calling important games anymore.  It's bad enough they let him stumble through Big 10 games.

About how disgraceful and unfair it is he's being punished for acting like a complete dipshit. HEY I SAID I WAS SORRY (after literally everyone who saw the video told him he had acted disgracefully, and not a moment sooner) WHY DO I HAVE TO FACE ACTUAL CONSEQUENCES FOR MY ACTIONS?

I love when he first got his mini-suspension from the Big 10 and he threatened to retire and everyone shouted GOOD, GO FOR IT. What a putz.
