Illinois vs. Miami (FL) [MBB]

Two thoughts:

1. Ohio State (as was mentioned during the game) has been running Syracuse's zone.  Good to see it from the master himself first.

2. Wait... is Pitino drinking Coconut water?

I'd pay $100 to see those two teams play and I hate them both. I just feel like the quality of college basketball on that floor would be something special. I also think they matchup extremely well.

That said, I have both UK and Louisville in my preseason Final Four (like it matters). UK, Duke, Wisconsin, Louisville. Nothing earth shattering, just four REALLY good teams.

so washed out on my tv, and I have a pretty fucking nice tv.

That court is dogshit.

Just for that, they should forfeit their Natty to us. Trey's block was clean.

I am sort of enjoying Matta looking with some consternation at the basket, seeming to wonder why this is apparently so hard, this made buckets thing. One of those shots from ESPN honestly had him in "stunned disbelief" mode, I would say.

Is getting destroyed...and Louisville isn't even playing well.

Time to watch the end of the 2nd half of the Michigan game since I only saw the last 8 minutes.

I would say zero. I think either one of us (West Ham or Southampton) would be thrilled with Europa football. I highly doubt Southampton can keep it up. West Ham started red hot then hit a lull. Southampton is due. I just don't see the quality. However, if Southampton does qualify for Champions League, I'll buy you a beer. If we get Harbaugh as a coach, I'll buy you a beer truck. Cheers. Louisville would probably beat us soundly, but man does OSU look bad.  On a similar note, some of those Louisville players look 28 years old.  How are they in college?

We'd get demolished on the boards and down low in general, but OSU's offense looks straight up sloppy in every way. Russel on OSU is interesting to me, though. He has a pretty unique passing style. It's not really working, but I like watching him flip the ball around randomly.

Our hoops team looks like they could easily become an Elite 8 type of team again this year, which is nice.

After watching Hackett's press conference, I got the feeling that he has a good feeling about the new coaching hire coming up. I take that as a very positive sign. He carefully worded some key parts there, that I'm surprised I haven't seen more people dissecting over here. I think we're gonna be in good shape. Ironically, the thing I'm most worried about now is the potential culture shock for the FB players if it goes down as I think it may...

He also said "institutions and organizations" and responded to one of the questions by basically saying waiting until January for the NFL season to be over might be worth the risk of you know, waiting until January.

Harbaugh was all over that press conference.  Hopefully that means something, but it probably doesn't.

ACC fans were about as insufferable as SEC Football fans. They thought the addition of Louisville and Cuse made them the best conference ever by default.
