Todd McShay: "I think it's mandatory for Shea Patterson to return to school"

“He has the physical tools,” McShay said. “The best thing that Shea Patterson could do is to go back to school and continue to learn pro-style offense and continue to develop. He has the potential to develop into an NFL quarterback. If I were advising Shea, I would say it’s mandatory to go back to school for another year, because he has a great opportunity that not many quarterbacks in the country have, to work under multiple coaches -- not just the head coach -- that have spent many years in the NFL. There’s experience there.

“He went from a system (at Ole Miss) that had nothing to do with what he’s going to do in the NFL to one that is very similar to what he’s going to do in the NFL, and I think it’s mandatory (to return), again, if I was advising him.”

I am more than sure that Shea and his family will make a good decision here...a better decision than any "expert" or idiot fan. It really is his call to make...and his alone. Let the idiots speculate away. 

Otherwise, Michigan football will be fine...no matter what. 

Love the way this 2019 class is lining up!!! And, it is not dependent upon whether or not Gray stays committed. Keegan/Ike/Jones, Harrison, Karlaftis,  Crouch, DeLoach...and now Williams...among other possibilities...all arrows pointing up.

Shea looks like a backup NFL QB, arm strength and field vision are a weakness.

McCaffrey looks like a NFL starter some day. Either way, next year our offense should be a strength of the team.

Great to have Patterson, McCaffrey, Peters, and Milton all here in 2019.  You never know as each is only 1 play from the guys in front of them from holding our 2019 fate in their hands.  About time we had a stable of them.
