Tickets for MTSU Game

Submitted by Chi-Blue on August 4th, 2019 at 4:09 PM

Hello everyone!

So the short of it is that August 31st just opened up and I am looking to take my family of 5 to their first game at the Big House against MTSU! It’s been a long time and upon looking for tix at MGOBLUE they had no options for 5 packs. The online services don’t offer tix in groups of 5 as I even called, and additionally they charge anywhere from $18-25 of fees per ticket . . . RIDICULOUS!

If anyone is either looking to opt out of their tickets or has any information about where I might find the needed number I would welcome your response! Kids are ages 6-11 so can’t break the bank, a max of $100 per ticket would be the max.

My apologies if this question should be placed elsewhere or posted at all. I did search the space looking for information about where/if to post and didn’t see anything. My feelings won’t be hurt if the mods have to take it down but thanks for any help all the same!!!

The spreadsheet doesn't appear to be working; I recently looked at it and saw no new tickets posted since last year.  I even left a comment in the spreadsheet thread regarding the lack of functionality.

Gotcha. Good to know. Just thought it was funny as he specifically said he searched the site on where to post ticket questions. Like evenyoubrutus, I've never even been in that thread. But it's definitely not hidden.

I just went to StubHub and once I pulled up those exact listings, I then clicked on the "filter" icon to show prices with estimated fees.

That first listing then shows as $91.78 per ticket, the 2nd one $95.49, and so on.

(As I'm on an Android phone, though, I couldn't post a screenshot)

Cant Imagine the 5th night game in the history of the Big House would be cheap. Try the Rutgers game. Or sit on the MSU game and see if they are going into it with a loosing record; sparties will be unloading tickets for 10$ a piece in droves! hahaha.

I think ticker demand will be especially soft because it's a night game against a weak opponent. This is the kind of game a lot of folks would normally take their younger kids to, but will not because it's too late for their kids. Few fans will be more likely to attend due to it being at night. When it's against an ND or Wisconsin, the night games are a novelty. When it's against a crap opponent, it's a major inconvenience.

Anyone who wants to graciously help me fulfill a dream I’ve had for literally the entire lives of my children to take them to a game by selling me 4 for $200, let me know.

Why it’s up I might as well ask. I need 4 tickets for Rutgers, I’ve been casually looking for a while but if you need to get rid of 4 or more I’ll be happy to purchase them off of you.

Most people here sell their tickets to the opposing team's fans. The dumb thing is they just post on StubHub or other and don't have a clue in the cluebox who bought the tickets. All to make a few extra dollars. Kinda sad.  Then they whine when the stadium is the wrong color. And speaking the truth or having a different  opinion has zero merit.

I'm glad for your family that they will get to go to the Big House. But this small piece from your post is a bit disconcerting:

"...against MTSU!"

I can't speak for you but I have never once found myself wishing I could see Middle Tennessee play football. Having that T in there just let's all the air out of the balloon.

Since we're on the general subject of tickets, does anyone know what are the Michigan sections @Illinois?

I'm looking at tickets on both StubHub and the official U of Illinois Athletic website and am in need of either 2 or 3 for that game on Oct.12th.

Another very important point: prices on StubHub go down as you get closer to game day. You are taking a bit of a risk as you need five all together, but I am very, very, very confident that if you wait a couple of weeks you will have better options. I did an analysis a few years ago, and I found that for the pre-Big Ten games, the prices hit their low point (and the number of tickets available hits their high point) about a week before the game.

Hey man, I have 5 spare tickets for a flat $60 each - annual reunion thing that had a few cancellations. Tickets are in the south endzone/SW corner, row 22. We won't have kids with us but we're kid friendly!

If you're interested, email me here: [email protected]

Wanted to bring my son who is just turning 2 to the game and just sit him on my lap but I see that everyone needs a ticket even infants. That sucks
