Thats my biggest complaint about the Jordan gear is that as a 6'4 male (humble brag) it is all very awkward around the shoulder and armpit area. I got a #4 jersey for Christmas and had to return it after trying to exchange a Large for an XL, and neither fit as well as my Adidas.
Love the shoes though. Got me a nice pair of Jordans and those are great.
January 11th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
Just goes to show there really isn't a one-size fits all. I'm also 6'4" and I like the way my size L t-shirt fits.
January 11th, 2017 at 3:45 PM ^
I really wanna buy into the Jordan gear. Have you tried on a jersey? I don't live in MI so didn't want to deal with all the hastle if something doesn't fit right but if the shirts are different then the jerseys I might give a polo a try then.

You're 6'4" and wear a large? Does it fit like this?
I'm 6'5" and cannot cover my ass without an XXL.

One of the FSU players said pre bowl if Jumpman was a "thang" in his day of recruiting he would have come up to UM for an official just for the gear. So to that end, it's a positive to me. Since I'm not a fashionista the rest is whatever - I didn't see anything embarassing like in the Adidas era so that was a positive. Based on non UM Nike stuff I'm sure everything was tagged for extraordinary pricing for a basic product with just a swoosh and a nice mini man figurine on it.
Still wish we had maize pants on the road but that's not a Nike thing.

Going along with a lot of people are saying ITT, the Jordan brand stuff for fans looks good, but is super expensive. I can't really swing 80 bucks for a hoodie. The team's football uniforms, however, looked fantastic. Absolutley loved them. Everything looked better than last year, and I think it helps with recruiting that all the kids are getting Jordans.

I have purchased two long sleeve and a handful of t-shirts and love them all. Only one shirt had a weird fit but after looking at reviews that specific shirt was that way for everyone. I am hoping I can get back to the employee store and get stuff at a reasonable price.
I like the look of the stuff the players are wearing and I think Nike has done a great job so far.
January 11th, 2017 at 3:45 PM ^
Love the Jordan cleats - look sharp as hell.
I thought the hoops uniforms were gonna be great but they're butt. Makes the team look unathletic. Jersey is too tight in the chest and the numbers are too high and small on the back. I think it looks really weird. Michigan basketball uniforms should always in some way pay homage to the Fab Five era of 92-95.
I'm a lacrosse nerd so I'm looking forward to that - don't know if they'll be Jordan or Nike or what, but the unis of the last few years have been pretty lame.

Absolutely love the satin finish helmet and the sleek, black facemask.
Hated the weird font for '4" at first, but it's tolerable to me know.
The rest of it... I don't really see much difference from before.

The script stuff and Block M stuff is all industry standard andI love it without the Addidas (Brandon?) neon Maize. Other than that, the "fashion forward" Swoosh inventory is off to kind of a rough start in my opinion. Weird cloth mashing and threading is distracting. My favorite Addidas stuff ranks with the new stuff but the crapier Nike stuff is way better than the Addidas misfires. Paradox. Discuss.
PS
The basketball unis would be awesome if they weren't so weirdly sized.

I thought the gear was great, I have a few pieces of both the Nike and Jordan gear. I do agree that the Jordan fits a little snug but I'm really impressed with the quality and the amount of options both lines offer. The bball stuff is subpar in my opinion, which is strange cause Jordan. The whole team should have standard fit uniforms instead of choosing short shorts and a form fitting jersey.
January 11th, 2017 at 3:53 PM ^
Obviously a great brand and helped hype the football team this year. Even my middle schooler daughters knew the Jumpman logo. Basketball jerseys are hard to look at. Looks like someone shrunk them in the wash.
Overall, good deal, good publicity.
GO BLUE!

The Jumpman gear I bought is holding up well. No holes or fading or shrinking from the dryer or anything. The swoosh on the regular Nike and the Jumpman logos are all still looking sharp and the shorts I bought haven't fallen down yet.
January 11th, 2017 at 3:55 PM ^
The gear looks the same as adidas. It's amazing how a maize tshirt under adidas is trash but then you have the same tshirt with a swoosh on it and people pay 40 dollars for it.

... and a year later, cogent posts like this are still getting negged [presumably by the Nike fanbois]
January 11th, 2017 at 3:56 PM ^
I have bought a few shirts, a pullover, and some dry fit. Super pleased with look, feel, and quality. Miles and miles above Adidas in my opinion.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:04 PM ^
The football uniforms were spectacular--just perfect. The basketball uniforms are a bit of a disappointment which is really a surprise. The M on the shorts should be larger and the lettering on the jerseys is...I don't know, off somehow.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:07 PM ^
Overall I like it. I like the Nike/Jordan gear way more than the Addidas stuff. I like the designs and fit. However, I do not like the look of our bball jerseys. They just look strange to me
January 11th, 2017 at 4:09 PM ^
Liked most of the gear, but thought some of the designs were just lazy (and got negged for voicing that opinion), like the shirts below.
But then a few weeks later, Nike revealed the ugly stuff was just part of their 2016 template for all teams:

I would agree with others - no complaints about the look of the football uniforms at all, and I like that we've basically stuck with the classic look that makes Michigan's uniforms as iconic as they are in the sport.
I have complex feelings about the basketball gear - I think there's some room for improvement on those uniforms honestly. I am just not a fan of the overall aesthetic in this case.
Fan gear is sort of a mixed bag for me - some of the Nike stuff I liked and have bought, whereas other designs I couldn't fathom. That's probably any fan gear really, but I would add that it seems like I'll either really like or really hate it. Very little in between for me.

difference in them and not sure why so many people worship at the alter of Nike. Thought the football uniforms looked fine, but no better or worse then they looked last year. Really don't care for the jumpman on the football uniforms.
Actually don't care for the basketball uniforms, look like they don't fit properly or just a strange cut.
I really don't care who's emblom is on the uniform. Craps all made in the same sweat shops in Malaysia, they just put a different logo on them at the end. I care more about how a team plays rather then worry about the shade of maize on the uniform and over the years I can't say I've ever really noticed anything that really bothered me about a uniform a UM team wears. When I watch a game I'm looking at the plays and how they develop and what the players are doing and not the size of the wings on the helmets or exact placement of a letter, I leave that up to the fashion police.

hive mind. Nike is really good at branding and making it the cool thing to wear.

Nike to Cease Manufacturing Products
BEAVERTON, OR—Citing creative confinement and a desire to focus exclusively on what it does best, the Nike Corporation announced Monday it will cease manufacturing athletic shoes and other sports-related merchandise in order to devote itself fully to the creation of state-of-the-art television advertisements.

Football uniforms look great... basketball uniforms are solid... hockey jerseys are not great. Bought a few Nike shirts and they all fit small and differently than my other Nike shirts. It's weird.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:16 PM ^
The jumpman tee shirt that I got sucks balls. I wear a large and I swear this thing fits like a smedium.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:17 PM ^
And maybe it's just me, but I really prefer the classic ''SWOOSH" over the jumpman logo. It was cute for about a day or so.

I was in need of a couple new Michigan polo shirts to wear in the office on Fridays. I looked at all the Nike/Jumpman ones at M-Den and frankly didn't care for any of the designs, especially the ones with the plasticky block M that feels like it easily fall off or be ripped off. At a price point of $65-$80, NO THANKS. I might have bitten the bullet if I had really liked one of them. But no way am I paying that just because it's the latest thing. I ended up buying a pretty sharp polo shirt at JCP for about $35 that I love.
I do think the football unis and general use/placement of the Jumpman logo is pretty cool and classy.

Nikes normal length gear just doesn't work for me. Especially after shrinkage.
Anyone have a link that would help out a tall Wolverine like me?

I love how the football team looked. Uniforms were great. I don't own anything from Nike/Jordan yet because the prices are way too high for me...Maybe it's the teacher salary, but the prices just seem way way too high. I'll wait until it's on sale like I always do.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:29 PM ^
Usually has some pretty decent sales and they've started including some of the Jordan and Nike gear in them.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:35 PM ^
It's not just you. Pricing on most stuff is outrageous. They're gouging us.
January 11th, 2017 at 6:44 PM ^
How do you think Nike pays for Oregon's uniformz and professional endorsements? $1.99 cost/$70.00 retail.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:24 PM ^
I prefer Adidas clothes over Nike/Jordan clothes because it fits better and is far more comfortable.
Nike is overrated IMO.
January 11th, 2017 at 4:27 PM ^
Definitely fit a little better, but I like the designs and colors of the Nike gear a lot better.
January 11th, 2017 at 6:36 PM ^
+1
Especially cleats. adidas all day long over Nike when it comes to shoes.
Unless you have perfect stride; don't pronate or supinate, or need arch support... then go with Nike.

I think a lot of the gear looks pretty cool. The football jerseys and equipment, including the helmets, looked fantastic. As for the items at the M Den, eh, could have been better. A lot of it was kind of generic, which I guess is to be expected for it being the first year. I ended up buying a hat, a few shirts and a football jersey. The jersey sizing is really weird, I'm 5'10" about 170 pounds and found that a medium was pretty restricting, I mean, I couldn't lift my arms above my shoulders becaues of the tight fit across the chest and uder the arms. I ended up having to return it for a large. I wear a small when it comes to NHL or usually any other jersey, so to be wearing a large, which actually fits pretty well, is a bit odd. Also, one of the Jordan Brand shirts I got was pretty snug under the arms too, but I attribute that to more of the slim fit style than anything else. Wasn't a big fan of any of the shoes that came out, but I'm definitely excited for what they come up with over the next few years.
