This next Michigan Marching Band album is a little bit of an oddball, as it was not as public of a release. 2002 Season Highlights was a CD produced for then-members of what was called “The Elbel Club,” a group of the MMB’s closest supporters. Its content features a Jamie Nix-directed iteration, and its tracklisting suits the simple title. Here’s a quick sample of the Parade Cadence recording that appeared on it (foreshadowing)…

I highly doubt that Franklin was the first player to wear the #9 jersey for Michigan. However, he’s definitely among the finest.
Is it a coincidence that - though the game has changed - Franklin was solid on the ground and through the air. Hmmm… could be something in common with the current #9.
