@justcoverblog No reason not to try to build on the momentum. Nothing to lose.

@justcoverblog It's the exact strategy Michigan should be taking right now.

For those who are not familiar with Fournette, he's the consensus top RB in the 2014 class, and the number one player in the nation according to 247's Composite Rankings.

The general consesus in the recruiting world is that Fournette is heavily favoring Alabama and LSU.  I'd be shocked if he went anywhere other than those two schools, and even very surprised if we are able to get a visit. However, we have a lot of momentum, and if we can get him on campus anything can happen.

They shouldn't let this kid play another year of High School football. He's completely unplayable. Insane.

Kids like this, they should let him play college ball for a year, then go pro. All Day talent level. First round pick at 19 if he was allowed.

Love the spirit from J-Reall, but I wonder how much guidance recruits get from staff/players as they woo others.  I.e., wonder if D Green or other RBs on the roster are on board or take it as a mini-slight?  Can't expect 17 year olds to be polished diplomats.

I doubt any RBs on our roster would get offended if we got a commitment from a RB, it's not like we promised them we would stop recruiting the position once they hit campus, that's the way recruiting goes. Derrick Green was in a class with 2 other RBs himself, and he joins about 10 that we already have. Competition is understood.

Leaves me wondering if the kid can take a hit - He doesn't even get touched in most of those runs .  He looks fast but Derrick Green looks tough.  I'll take tough over fast for a RB.  But love Jabrill hawking all the recruits for 2014.

Jabrill is the type of kid that seems to not understand limits. He has a distortion field. He wants to be nothing but the best at everything he does. He wants to be the best recruit in the country. He wants to be the best rapper. It seems he wants to be the best recruiter in the country now, and I love all of it.

On a side note, I was texting my friend and I said "I'd be happy if we land one of Adoree.." and I started typing Jabrill, but we already got him!!!!! I'd be happy if we landed one of Adoree, Hand, and Fournette. I feel good about one of those guys. I feel okay about another. The last one is the pipe dream. No particular order about those feelings.

Fournette is still the longest shot of that group, by far, IMO.  The kid is from New Orleans and has been taken two unofficials to LSU, along with one to 'Bama, Texas, and FSU's Junior Day.

In a quintessential ESS-EEE-SEE move, Les Miles told Fournette (through the media) that he wasn't taking a RB in the 2013 class so that Fournette could be the guy as soon as he arrived in 2014.

The recruiting coordinators from LSU and 'Bama went to Fournette's High School and have strong relationships there.  Florida's TE Coach--also recruiting Fournette--also graduated from Fournette's school.  Miles and Saban have both visited his school.  The SEC schools are recruiting him with all of their available resources, and he's right in their backyard.

All that said, if we get him on campus, then we have a shot.  But I still think he's the longest shot of that group.
