Sparty to the Rose Bowl?
Just out of curiousity I went to the Sparty website to look at their schedule. Every tough team they play this year they play at home and they do not play tO$U. Is it possible with this schedule that Sparty goes to the Rose Bowl?

them winning at Wisconsin and Illinois. They will lost at least one of those games. It is a favorable schedule.

"They will lost" - might be my new favorite MGoLingo
Well, they do have a vastly experienced QB to lead them there: not
Even though this will not exactly be a banner year for the Big Televen, it will not be a cakewalk for anyone to take the crown. I imagine OSU is the favorite, but it does get a little gray after them.
Could be an interesting season...

I thought we agreed that "Not" jokes were no longer to be used by anyone older than 8 years old...
While I agree that they got a scheduling break Sparty has some huge holes to fill. Ringer accounted for what 75% of their offense. Who's going to replace him? Winston's in jail, Baker hasn't been able to make it through a HS season. The only person in the secondary who was any good, Wiley, graduated. QB play? Are there steroids involved (Mandarich jab)?

It would be a surprise. Last season's signature win was v Iowa before Iowa figured it out. They would need to show that they can beat teams with a pulse.

You are talking about Sparty right? The east lansing sparty?
If they get close it means they somehow beat their big brother (not gonna happen). What are the chances of a total collapse post-big win? I'm thinking....uh.... 100%.
Sparty dude. Sparty.
Dude, yeah, dude. LMFAO. Little brother, dude. No way is Sparty gonna beat big brother, dude. And they're totally gonna collapse dude, just like last year, dude. We're totally goin to the Rose Bowl dude. Forcier is the greatest human being alive that doesn't have cyborg parts, and he's even greater than some that do. Dude.
Finally, someone gets it.

They lose their number one qb and runner, a couple OL's as well as assorted defensive players. I don't think Coach D'Antonio has them at 'reload' just yet. Besides, any team that registers it's spring game as a 'W'has some concerns going in to the season...

Ah hahahahahahahahahaahhaa.

I think MSU returns almost all of their starters on both sides, but the guys they do lose are key players. On offense they lost Hoyer, Ringer, and a couple O-lineman. On defense they lost two D-lineman, one LB, and Otis Wiley.
They'll get to a bowl game, but they will be throttled by Penn State and drop a couple others along the way. I think they've benefited more from the recent weakness of the Big 10 than any other team.

They will be better than most of you think, but, I don't see them beating PSU.

come to the rosebowl and watch us play
Equally as unlikely, at this rate. We have to beat MSU first...
im say they go 7-5,
Between the 21-year drought, and their in-state recruiting DOMINANTS!!!, why wouldn't the odds catch up to them this year?
Oh yeah, and since their coach would rather see Michigan lose than get a shot at the Rose Bowl, it's not like there's any pressure on them.
Dantonio's faith in Jesus will be rewarded with a Rose Bowl appearance in the '09-'10.
The man has no pride, therefore he will not fall.

thanks to everyone for their input on this. I have to say that I really hope not, I don't think they would ever shut up if they win the B11 this year. appreciate all the opinions.
