Jeebus.

Penn State was getting their ass handed to them and then t[tm]OSU started to fumble, and fumble, and fumble some more.

Against Michigan Dobbins did fumble, then it bounced rugby style back to him en route to a huge gain.

James Franklin did not scheme that. Fcuking revisionist history on the board is ridiculous.

This Michigan fan life.

OSU-PSU game stats aside, do you think PSU is getting a part of OSU's practice sessions every day?  Do you think OSU players are crossing out the letter 'P' from the alphabet?  Do you think OSU is as big a rival as UM is?

In one post, everyone complains that OSU 'just wants it more'.  In the other post, they complain that PSU held them under 30.  Nothing like having it both ways...

Let’s see, Brown is from NE, just finished last game of season so maybe flying to Boston to see friends and family or recruiting..going back to BC under Washington seems strange at best

To everyone saying that a shortage of DT was the reason for Down Brown allowing another 500+ yards to OSU please tell me who is responsible for making sure we are recruiting the right number to replenish the roster.

It's painfully obvious, very painfully obvious, that Kemp and Dwumfour were dominated yesterday. And of course it's been up to Don Brown to have recruited bigger players.

Greg Mattison recruited Bryan Mone in 2014. Mone weighed about 320 out of high school. The interior linemen (and those now at interior D line) recruited in Don Brown's tenure have weighed from 255 to 299 out of High school.

Where are the Bryan Mone's? And in this, I'm not trying to say yea or nay about Don Brown.

I don't know if it's as simple as that.  I mean we got Hinton & Mazi Smith.  They're just true freshman DTs so they didn't contribute much, but both are elite and big DTs.  Ultimately what I do know is our assistants need to be elite recruiters.

Bronxblue posted the stats earlier showing that Michigan landed 4 of the top 15 DT's in the last two classes.  Some missed, others transferred for whatever reason.  But the recruiting has been okay - needs to get better to rebuild depth, though.

For those of you who defend DB, what makes you think next year's game against OSU will be any different?  His job is to do more with less.  Gattis found something that had OSU on its heels in the first half and limited Chase Young with a good but not great OL (something no other team managed to do).  Time to move on.

Willie Taggart went from Oregon in one year after losing 6 Games to take over Florida State. Washington was already at BC and was loved there. He was on the same staff as both Brown and Day. It makes perfect sense to hire them back. At Brown’s age, assistant HC and still being the DC is a great deal. BC will only get blown out once a year facing Clemson because he ain’t stopping them

What cracks me up are the people who want Don Brown fired . . .but would then still want to keep Harbaugh!

What about all the transition costs of changing coordinators!!!
1-5 years of poor confused children!
STABILITY FIRST!

1. Harbaugh began losing to OSU before Don Brown

2. It's not always 100% on the D.

3. Harbaugh says he and Brown are "joined at the hip".  That means Harbaugh ok's all Browns recruiting, game plans, etc.  Don Brown does not coach D in a vacuum.
Unless you dare to entertain the idea that JH is fallible. . .

and the best quote back in their faces:  "Who could Michigan ever get that is better?!!"

give me a name?

I honestly don't give a crap if Michigan keeps Brown or Harbaugh, but the contortions people go to to avoid taking an honest look at the program from the top down while twisting themselves into knots to defend each potion is hilarious.

I dunno what next years game will look like - and neither do you.  Next year's defense will have Mazi Smith and Chris Hinton at DT.  Will they be good enough to solidify the DL and help it get some decent pass rush without blitzes?  I dunno, but I sure hope so.

What about the corners?  Will Ambry Thomas and Vincent Gray be good enough, and will others step up behind them?  Don't know...

Will OSU's offense begin to skip some beats without Dobbins?  Nobody knows...

OSU attacked the weak links in Michigan's defense with the strong parts of their offense.  The smoke and mirrors DB created to gloss over the lack of DT's got exposed against a team with no holes.  The various coverages were good enough to make Fields hold the ball a long time.  Unfortunately, the lack of DL pass rush let him hold it long enough for someone to get free.

The offense has certainly appeared to get competitive, but it couldn't keep up in a shootout - which we all knew was coming.  Stop the stupid penalties, stop dropping passes, stop fumbling, and maybe Michigan's offense could keep up on the scoreboard until the D gets a stop (which it did several times)?

This was a team failure, not a DB failure.

Hope this is true, I am ready for a change in defensive scheme and I am definitely ready to have a DC that will make adjustments after halftime to slow down our opponents best players. I will not miss him in the slightest if he leaves.

Kemp and Dwumfour were solid this season, but if you've watched OSU this season you'd have seen that the interior of their O Line is just dominant.  Wyatt Davis (Who almost picked us) is an absolute freak 5 star, their center Myers was a 5 star tackle and those 2 together just move people back 3 yards.  Davis is really special, I think he could hold his own in the NFL right now.  Both are back next season and they'll be joined by 5 star center Harry Miller and 5 star tackle Nicholas-Petit Frere.  Their LT is solid and huge and will be back too.

That O Line with a 5 star QB, and 5 star WRs is going to be something next season.  And they'll have a TE who was a 5 star on a couple sites too.
