What Haylie Wagner achieved today has to go down in the annals of softball history as one of the great gutty performances of all time, certainly in Michigan history. She comes into a bases-loaded jam in the first inning with 3 runs already on the board for the bad guys. UCLA battled hard all night, but she just got the timely out inning after inning to secure an unlikely win. Then there's Susalla ... Christner ... Romo setting ego aside, as she does so often, to hit sac bunts and sac flys to help the team. I'm just beside myself at that performance, across the board. Wow.
Michigan is now 2-2 all-time in the WCWS Quarterfinals.
Their other win prior to this win was over Texas in 2005--the national championship season.
Ive watched or followed every single game this season..Been on here alot even when there were only a dozen or so posts and I said back after the Alabama sweep in T-Town that this team would be a national title contender and here we are in the Final Four semi-finals..Its still not going to be easy all the teams here are good but it looks like we are in a prime spot to face Florida in the title game...REVENGE will be sweet for those two losses, both were tough hard fought games we definitely have a good chance...Twice now in the last 3 games against prime competition weve come from 1st inning 3 run deficits to win...We are never out of a game with this offense,,,NEVER....whatever the next few days bring this ENTIRE TEAM has been a joy to follow all season long...
For me knocking off Bama and a SEC teams was the Best...Everything else now is gravy..playing with house money...One more win and we are in the national title game..

They're great kids, having a blast and getting it done. That's a pretty good combination. We see it in Beilein's basketball teams too. When a team is fun to watch, you watch them.
