MSU and OSU were not on the schedule. But they are, meaning there is no chance. To dream of anything else is just that, a dream. So where's the thread about crazy Jim liking hot pornstars on Instagram ? How funny is that, Jim just keeps embarrassing UM over and over, and UM fans seem to think its cool while the rest of America is laughing at you.

What do you guys/gal think will be the toughest game before heading to EL? Penn St and Wiscy would be the obvious choices, and both are home. I would say PSU just bc they have a game changing RB. Cant see them losing to either of those teams.

Their offense was already pretty mediocre last year and they lost their franchise QB. Yes Barkley will continue to be productive, but if they bring zero passing threat teams will just load the box and shut them down. I don't really see their offensive production improving in 2016.

Not only that, but PSU was mediocre even with a very good defense, one of the best defensive lines in the nation. They lose everyone from that DL and a few other solid contributors. They stayed in games last year because their D was so good. This year their offense will suck AND their D won't allow them to hang around. Their games will get ugly quickly.

That game changing RB who had one good run and then proceeded to get completely shut down by our defense?

Barkley is a good back, but Penn State still has an awful OL until proven otherwise, no proven QB, and will be breaking in a new offense. And their defense lost quite a few pieces. And we're at home. Unless Penn State's offense grows up big time by the end of September, our defense will be allowed to tee off on Barkley and dare whoever the QB is to try and beat us with his arm. And with Jourdan Lewis locking down one side of the field, I like our chances.

Wisconsin worries me more because they've proven over the last 15 years that whoever lines up at RB will be able to put up yards.

Wisconsin is like Penn State in that they have to come up with a new QB now that Stave is gone.  Both teams should bring solid defenses and run games, but I'm not sure how either is going to be able to manufacture enough pass yards to win in Ann Arbor.

Also, I may be a little off here, but I believe that Wisky's rushing stats this past season weren't quite up to their recent historical standards.  I'm not sure what they do or don't have returning on the O line, and that will make a difference obviously.  But I don't recall that they were special in the run game last year, not compared to normal for them anyway.

Clement was out for most of the year so that definitely hurt them, but I'm not too sure about how their OL situation was. Usually it's pretty darn good and I'm expecting their unit to at least be serviceable, if not good, when they come to Ann Arbor.

If there's two things you can continually rely on Wisconsin for, it's producing good offensive linemen, and good running backs.

Don't think Stave was a driving force of anything. Their offense is going to be pretty good since their QB will have time and their RB will have holes as long as the OL is pretty good. Which it will be, since you know, Wisconsin.

I don't think Stave was very good either, but I'll bet with his 12 years of experience as their starting QB he was better than who they'll have replacing him - and that's assuming their #1 guy is still standing after games against LSU and then sparty the week before us.

I'm not saying the Badgers won't be a test.  But I feel much more comfortable in our shoes than I would in theirs.

I hope so. I cant stand PSU, but I was at a coaching clinic last month and their OC was one of the speakers. Very impressive. I think their offense will be much better this year.

Not sure how much of Penn State you watched, but Hackenberg did not have control of that offense.  Plus with his recent finger pointing, it shows he has some maturity issues.  Sometimes it just takes some new blood to revitalize a team.  I do not think that offense will be great, but I do not expect it to be any worse.

PREDICTION:

Now that we are moving into post-March Madness sports wasteland of NBA, tennis, baseball and golf, there will be countless articles every week "predicting" what will happen in the NFL and NCAA football seasons from now until August.

Yes, 5 months of rehashed unofficial polls, power rankings, playoff predictions, Heisman watches.

This guy always has these videos where he only answers the non-football questions. But it sounds like in his opinion, if we win all of our games, we could make the playoff, and every game we lose will lower the chances. It was a very deep piece of journalism.

it'll all depend on our QB and LT play... I like our chances... we are a deep veteran team, tons of fifth year seniors.
