SIAP: Woody Hayes Roast
Just stumbled across this wonderful video on Youtube [click here]
It contains an amazing roast of Woody Hayes, including hilarious and touching speeches from Lou Holtz (who honestly stole the show) and Bo himself.
Hayes died soon thereafter, and the video includes some post-death footage, including none other than Richard Nixon speaking at his funeral.
Really incredible. One sometimes forgets the modern rivalry between the two schools was forged from a deep and mutual love and respect between two legendary coaches.

Schiano would have to get it, really screw up, and then you would have to get him fired. Then maybe, the fat million. Maybe.

What a coaching tree! Doesn't it make you a little jealous?
Bo's got an okay tree, but certainly not like Woody's.
Thanks for sharing the link.

Yea, Jim Harbough at the roast of Pete Carroll would probably sound the same.....minus the love, admiration and respect.
I still couldn't understand a damn thing Holz said.

Great video! Bo was hilarious. Watch what he does to Woody when he finishes the speech and walks by. Thats how old school guys did it...

Holtz was funny back in the day when he was coherent.
My favorite Holtz quote from that time period:
"When I was coach at Minnesota, they asked me how I could sleep at night knowing that I had to play Michigan and Ohio State every year. I told them I slept like a baby. I woke up every 2 hours and cried."
