Semi-OT Former M Commit Jalen Wilson Expected to miss at least 3 months with injury
Former commit Jalen Wilson, now at Kansas, broke his ankle against UNC Greensboro.
Bill Self: It’s a bad one. He broke it and it requires surgery early next week and the time table on a return will be close to three months. I’m not going to tell you that he’ll for sure sit the rest of the year but the likelihood of that is pretty strong.
May miss the entire year. Sucks for the kid. Kansas is now left with 9 available players for the rest of the season.

Hope he gets better.

Sucks for him, but fuck cheating Bill Self.

Sad for Jalen but certainly not for Bill Self or Kansas. Fuck them. GO BLUE!!!????

Sucks for him. Hopefully he comes back healthy next season.
I do wonder if he figured he'd get a chance to shine in one year at Kansas and then be off to the NBA. Right now, Kansas might be looking at some rough years if this investigation leads to where it looks like it might.

yea right like the NCAA gonna do shit.

It's not OSU or the SEC, so they may well drop the hammer.

I believe they just got a 2020 5 star commit yesterday. Top kids don’t care about ethics because they only plan on being there a year or two.

Didn't Isaiah Todd get recruited at the last minute by Self? We'll have to ask him what was involved in his recruitment...

'top kids don't care about ethics'
well, they shouldn't care about the capricious list of guidelines sporadically enforced with the sole aim of enriching the clowns who administrate the ncaa.
did y'all know there are millionaires whose only job (besides probably taking trips on epstein's plane) is to organize bowl games, and they get insanely compensated?
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2017/12/14/bowl-game-executive-pay-soaring-around-1-million/949198001/
super ethical stuff.
however, you're right that the ncaa won't do shit and kansas will be fine

Epstein didn't kill himself.

well said
like Doc Holiday in Tombstone, the NCAA's hypocrisy knows no bounds. unlike Doc Holiday in Tombstone, i don't respect the NCAA and it's gang of self enriching administrators.

You would think if the NCAA (or FBI) cared about what goes on at KU they would follow the family of every commit around for about a week. I bet that 5* commit's dad has a new job and is driving a nice car today.

LOL - "this investigation leads to where it looks like it might" -- Bill Self helped these kids set up modest personal loans through a network of family friends. Nothing to see here

He’ll get a 4 game suspension, then it will be dropped to 2. There’s precedent.
November 13th, 2019 at 4:45 PM ^
I’m sorry to hear that for him, but not for Kansas. Fuck those cheaters.
November 13th, 2019 at 5:28 PM ^
Sucks for him. Should have stayed with the good guys.

Sorry for Jalen Wilson. Not sorry for Kansas, whose program is seemingly based around how many five-stars they can purchase from year to year.

Funny how life works. He would have been playing more minutes at Michigan and he gets hurt at Kansas. Hope his recovery goes well. On the plus side, he should be back just in time for Kansas to go on probation.
