This Seasons Highest Attended Game Was NOT at Michigan Stadium
While yesterday’s announced attendance of 110,615 was the largest crowd at Michigan Stadium this year, the largest attended game overall this season was actually in Beaver Stadium. The announced attendance for our game at Penn State was 110,856.
This doesn’t change a damn thing about how glorious this season has been, especially yesterday, however it’s a historical data point that i don’t believe has ever happened before.

It has. In 1997 we did not have the largest stadium.

The internet tells me that:
- The Big House's largest attendance record was 115,109, set on Sept. 7, 2013 in Michigan's 41-30 night-game victory over Notre Dame.
What made us be able to add 4.5K more attendees then vs now? I don't think it was the interest but rules in who is allowed in and/or how they determine this number.
Anyone know?
