Saban Banned from Louisiana High School for "not being ethical."
Saban has been banned from a Louisiana high school for "unethical" recruiting of Brandon Harris who ended up at LSU. Saban "offered" him, but didnt OFFER him. The school has 2 ESPN 300 prospects this cycle.

I've never quite understood the concept of the "non-committable offer." What exactly are you offering then?

Interest. Especially at a position like QB where one guy gets pretty much every snap.
You don't want to take your 4th choice while you're still in it with your 1st choice. You also don't want your 4th choice completely off the board if you lose out on the 1st choice. But you still want to prove to the lower ranked guy that he's above the majority of other prospects out there.

1.) Saban makes personal visit to high school next time the HS produces a top talent, says, "meh, sorry I guess."
2.) Coach says wow thank you for patching things up, we're all good.
3.) Saban calls Urban Meyer and thanks him for the advice.

i used to do a fair amount of business in LA, and found that although most people in LA know how to spell 'ethics', most don't know what it means ...just sayin
