My favorite Hayden Fry story involves Michigan and Bo. During pregame warm-ups before the Michigan game one year, Hayden had a player who had never snapped a ball before doing the long snaps to the punter. Bo came over to watch as this kid was spraying the snaps all over the place...over the punter's head, rolling it along the ground, etc. Bo looked at Hayden and said, "Fry! You're not gonna really let that kid snap the ball are you?" Hayden said, "Well coach, we don't plan on punting today."

Appreciate all the class comments around Coach Fry's passing. Kudos to your fans. Bo and Hayden had quite the rivalry...here's a story you might enjoy.

In 2003, Fry was voted into the college football Hall of Fame. He asked Bo to introduce him at the ceremony.  That season, Fry's induction was recognized during halftime of an IOWA game. He brought Bo on field with him.

The PA announcer introduced Bo and the IOWA crowd gave him a rousing standing ovation.  He and Fry shared a look that was priceless. Fry was introduced next and as you might guess the place went nuts. Watching those two legends share that moment of mutual respect was pretty cool.

I created an account just to come here and say thanks for all the kind words and respect given to our beloved coach Hayden Fry.  A lot of these posts have been shared on HawkeyeNation and are appreciated.

You Wolverine fans are class acts, I don't care what those Buckeyes say about you.  :)
