I'm pretty sure the girl that you say was to 'entertain' Pryor on his visit actually refused to which angered him. Kudos to her if that's the case.

I haven't read the article, but aren't most recruits jail bait?   A couple criminal prosecutions would be a shocking twist.

They have job reporting things that happen in the "sports community" you really think the writers of this article are going to try to publish this at a huge magazine like SI if there' is no evidence of payments Etc. remember this:

People at USC don't complain much about the sanctions that were in the know here in Cali to much, WHY? Because they got off lightly compared to what was actually going on here at SC! Trust me when I tell you that the published reports were only the tip of the Titanic if you get my drift. SC was TD if they fight it anymore the rest will come out. It's a bad situation. My point is the OSU was caught and now want to say foul and that it's all lies. Dez Bryant is such a stand up dude right! Dude was sucked off and paid off more then anyone on that campus I bet!!!!

I mean everyone bangs recruits, felates recruits, sleeps w/ you, sleeps w/ me, whatever. I think that recruits need a second hand, and I've always looked up to Les Miles, and I always will.

Otherwise, can't the athletic department simply respond as follows?:

"Big deal. So a boy met a girl and they got "so happy together".  Go ahead SI, write your major "exclusive" on that one."

More may come out, but based on what's in the story, I'm afraid the OP is close to right: There was this program where pretty girls showed recruits around the campus, and a few of them got out of line. That may strike some as naive (heck, it strikes me as a little naive) but right now that's all SI can prove. Kinda sleazy to be sure, but under the circumstances hardly shocking. Maybe there's more, but as of right now -- not all that big a deal.

is when one of these hostess stories dovetails with a Petrino situation. You'll have a coach involved in the hostess program--interviewing, matchmaking--and then getting involved with one of the hostesses,and the shti will really hit the fan.

Miles had his coed rumors a while back, if you'll recall. Unconfirmed, to be sure--I'm certainly not giving them credibility. But if coaches are stupid enough to get directly involved in the hostess programs in the first place, somebody'll be stiupid enough to cross that next bridge.

Yeah, this part really only had my interested because it sounds like some of the coaches had direct influence on the program.  That feels like one of those gray areas where a couple of "suggested" matches and subsequent matchings can easily be portrayed as escort services.  

The funny thing is, I wouldn't imagine it would be that hard for a bunch of athletic, confident guys who undoubtedly had some success in HS with women to catch the eye of equally-attractive women at college parties if they were brought in with players on the team.  I mean, the image in my head isn't some dorky little 17-year-old brought to a college party and looking absolutely flabbergasted trying to talk to women; instead I imagine a bunch of really confident athletes (who have probably done really well for themselves with HS girls at their school) hanging out with other athletes at parties where said athletes are treated as gods.  The underage drinking would probably be the bigger deal, if anyone cared.

I went to a D2 christian university and even there recruits were always introduced to the jersey chasers. Recruits were pretty much garunteed to get laid on their visits.
