Quarterback Christ and size

Submitted by WAMichFan on
Pat White was clearly bigger than Forcier coming into college -- pads or no pads. Check out this link and click back twice. http://westvirginia.scout.com/PictureGallery.aspx?PlayerId=36364&Title=P... White is now about 6-1, 190-200 lbs. Forcier will grow into that frame, but it's going to take time. Same with Robinson. The QB spot will be shared this year by three (Sheridan, Forcier, Robinson), lest our freshman Jesus end up thrice concussed or stuck in a body cast. Fast quarterbacks can run, but they cannot hide from the big hits forever. I predict Michigan will win a few more games, somewhere between five and seven. I'd say five if I had to bet big money on it. People will be throwing up...their hands at that point and calling for Rich Rod's head. It ain't gonna happen, nor should it happen. Our coach should stay put until his contract expires, barring a string of consecutive years without progress. The Wolverines will surprise everyone in 2010 by taking first or second in the Big Ten and going to a major bowl. After that, they'll compete for the national championship, and everyone will sing Rich Rod's praises. I'm as anxious as the next fan, but we have to be patient and realistic.

pat white wasnt much bigger than Tate comming out of highschool, niether was troy smith... but like you said, he will grow into the frame, but probably will never be huge... point is, bigger doesnt necc. mean less injury prone. and smaller doesnt necc. mean more injury prone... michigna probably will struggle next year, but it will be because they will be relying on two freshmen qb's not becasue of the size of tate.

You know who's had injury problems? Daunte Culpepper, the biggest QB in NFL history. Byron Leftwich, a really big dude. Big guys aren't immune to injury, and the size difference between a freshman Tate Forcier and a freshman Pat White is negligible. He might get hurt. He might not. But there's WAY too much emphasis being put on his size.

Both Supposedly and Supposably are correct. I looked this up some time ago because I was wrongly making fun of someone for saying Supposably, only to find out that it wasnt them being stupid, but me being ignorant.

i think you guys are looking at things the wrong way. if the o line can gel enough so that we can rack up 150 yards on the ground each game and throw succesfully on third down...we have a chance to reach 7 games. It all depends on how much space Minor is getting in the run game. No one is asking for Tate to do all of the work immediately.

Call me crazy, but I expect our team to average about 200 yards rushing per game. I think Brandon Minor (or whoever the starter is) will average about 100 - or more - and the backups/QB's should be able to get about 100 more.

The Wolverines average 147 YPG (59th in nation) with 2 ill-suited QB's, a cadre of beat up RB's (Minor, Brown, etc) and McGuffie losing yards every other carry. I totally agree with you on this one Magnus, we should be up near 200+ with competent blocking, more mobile QB's and a healthy, deep backfield.

"we have a chance to reach 7 games." Though that's true, and we know and understand the reasons for it, it sounds wrong doesn't it? I think we can won 8 if things go well. But geez, I never thought I'd say that two years ago. Anyway, carry on, build, recruit, etc.

Tate may be small, but he has the heart of a giant. I am not really all that worried about the QB position next because I know that Brandon Graham will be a world destroyer. Seriously, I have footage of Killa Brandon Graham's (KBG) arrival in Columbus...
