PSA: Comcast Infinity Watchathon Week
I’ve made this post a few times over the years and it always seems to be well received. If you have comacast you can watch HBO etc..... for free this week on demand. Going to have to check out “Barry” and catch up on a few other shows. Happy watching!
Xfinity. Stupid spellcheck.
I'd recommend Insecure and the Leftovers.
Insecure is hilarious and the characters pull you in. Honestly, I'd watch anything Issa Rae does.
The Leftovers is dramatic and thought-provoking, and also has very strong characters driving the action.
Season Two of the Leftovers is the best season of television ever created. Hands down.

Here are five, in no particular order that are better off the top of my head:
The Wire Season 1
The Wire Season 2
any season of Breaking Bad
Lost Season 1
Game of Thrones Season 4

Others that come to mind include True Detective Season 1, Homeland Season 1 or 2, and Billions.

I had an HBO subscription in the past and watched True Detective 1 & 2. Is 3 any good? It has to be better than the abomination season 2 was

The Leftovers is firmly in the Top 5 shows I have ever seen. It may not be the best, but it is in the conversation. Would probably go 1. Breaking Bad, 2. GOT, 3. The Leftovers, 4. Rectify, 5. Homeland, with Deadwood just missing the cut.
Deadwood is must see TV along with Westworld if you like westerns at all.
The Andre the giant doc was a good watch too.
Comcast suuucks.

Season 2 of The Wire should not be on any list for great TV.

Season 2 is incredible.
Season 4? It is good but how is it better than seasons 1-3?

For those of you who pay for the pleasure, my PSA is about the Chernobyl miniseries starting May 6th on HBO. It looks really, really good.
I'm also currently reading "Midnight in Chernobyl" and recommend that for you bibliophiles.

If you love Chernoble so much, go and marry it...

Maybe I will
true detective season 1 is great. watch it if you haven’t already
I’ve heard that season 3 is solid too.
I've heard the same but I'm still a little gun shy after season 2...it was just soooooooo bad.
Highly recommend The Knick. Seen a lot of horror movies that aren't half as scary as that show
Isn’t that Cinemax and not HBO? Agree it’s a fantastic show, btw.

I’ll pass based on the username and show name alone...
Just pay for HBO and avoid Comcast altogether and make the world a better place.
I do enjoy this week, I will be honest. Now that basketball and football are out of the way, April - August tends to be the time I catch up on shows, at least when I am not watching baseball.

You have very strong feelings about cable television.
Just watched Paterno. Perhaps they'll make a similar tale title "Izzo"?
Fuck Comcast. You’re all throwing your money away.
Not throwing it away. $130 a month for unlimited cable internet and every channel in HD plus DVR, that’s as good as you will find.
Until the 12 month agreement is up and goes to 199/month after.
That's maybe with taxes. The triple play option goes for $159.99/month, and it's really not a bad deal if you need to keep a land line.
I'm in a coma...I'll have it on in the background
