Passing the torch: Hutch and Tholl press conferences 8/29
Mgoblue published the press conferences for Carol Hutchins and new head coach Bonnie Tholl.
Bonnie seemed a little nervous, but the tone of both of them shows that Michigan Softball is passing into good hands.

we can hope that is the case. Thanks to Carol Hutchins for amazing success and impact at Michigan and best wishes to Bonnie Tholl for great success that builds on that amazing legacy.

Crazy that Hutch is gone, at the top of her game, I really thought she had 2-3 more years.
I think Bonnie just had that 'OK, this thing we've been talking about for a decade plus is actually happening and it's happening NOW' kind of look.
But it's not her 1st rodeo and she knows her stuff. Not worried at all TBH, just crazy to see a coach retire after so long (I was 6 when Canham hired Hutch as HC and I'm 45 now!) and she still has lost NOTHING from her fastball.

"Top of her game " ? Michigan hasn't even won a regional since 2016.

Probably says too much that I clicked this to identify who Aiden was, in fact, passing the torch to. This is great as well, of course.

There are not enough tributes that can be made for Coach Hutch - I wouldn't even know where to start. Congrats to Coach Tholl. She obviously has the confidence of Coach Hutch so I am simply looking forward to the middle of winter when softball season begins.

I was expecting something about Aidan.
