OTish: Michigan/OSU shop in Maumee, OH

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on July 21st, 2019 at 5:03 PM

There's a half cool shop outside of Toledo in Maumee, OH called the Wolverine-Buckeye Shop. It's half and half with little sections for other local colleges and Detroit pro teams.

It has some really cool stuff that you won't find at MDen so if you're ever in the area, go check this place out. It's 15 minutes outside of downtown Toledo.

I got two XL sized Maize Block M decals that are gonna permanently be on my front two car doors.

Don't bother visit their website as it has nothing compared to what's in the store. It's worth the trip because you will find stuff you haven't seen yet. Just figured I'd share this.

I bet the Buckeye side has a countdown clock to The Game while the Michigan side has a picture of Fielding Yost.

I believe there's also a Michigan/TOSU store on the right side of Monroe Street, just east of US-23, but not affiliated with the one mentioned above. Had to go there in a pinch last year. Good store, decent prices, unless you don't like leaving your dollars in that state or really, really have an aversion to all the scarlet shit you can't avoid seeing. More Michigan fans than Ohio when I was there.

What the fuck is "TOSU"?

So sad that you give them so much credit that you adopt their name for it.  That "T" is not part of the schools name in any way, shape, or form...

** This is one of my hill's.  The other is using the word 'cause' as an abbreviation of 'because'.  So fucking stupid!

The put “the” on the diploma. Weird they’d do that when it’s “in no way shape or form” part of the name.  I googled it and found that you are wrong. The Ohio state legislature changed the name in 1878, and “the” is in the official name. It took me 20 seconds to find it.

This place has been around a while.  There are a few other similar shops in the Toledo area that specialize in college gear like this, but all lean more towards OSU than anything else (including the one you mention).

The price for that maize chair is absurd. Slapping a Michigan sticker on it increased the price by about 50%.

I got a helluva deja vu. This post about the same as the one back in 2012, when Brady Hoke was commended for the change in the rivalry!? I guess as long as they can keep selling the Michigan jerseys in Ohio.
