I would love to see Football expanded. I think it would be the best thing for this world to see Football in the Olympics! Team USA vs. Team Japan! But really why do you care? Are you going to the Super Bowl in coming years?

I agree. The NFL is an American league. Keep the championship in America. I like the idea of having a game or a few even overseas during the regular season to help with exposure, but not the championship game. My only caveat would be if it made the NFL a shitload of money which would then come back to the US. Otherwise, I see a lot of Americans going to London and spending US money in England. We need the reverse to happen.

Globalization The tendency of investment funds and businesses to move beyond domestic and national markets to other markets around the globe, thereby increasing the interconnectedness of different markets.

Ok, this is stupid. Maybe the pro bowl should be in London(sorry Hawaii). But, if they do something, make it the pro bowl. Or have each NFL team play atleast one game over there. NOT THE SUPERBOWL!!!! But it would be funny to hear "oooo laaaaayyyy o lay o layyy"

Look at the bigger picture. This is basically telling American audiences, "We're taking you for granted." Not only will it cost a ton for any American fan to make the trip, the TV broadcast time of the game will be screwed up. They can't broadcast the game at the usual 6:30 p.m. time, since that's 11:30 p.m. in London. This is not a good idea for the championship game of a sport whose audience remains overwhelmingly concentrated in the U.S.

The interesting thing would be how they would work the TV times. London is something like 7 hrs ahead of the east coast. To start the game in London at 8pm would mean a 1pm start on the east coast and a 10 am start on the west coast. To start the game so it's around prime time on the east coast (say 5pm) would mean something like a midnight start in London.

I just don't see what football fans have to gain from this. I guess it would be cool if other nations learned to love football, but then what? I don't care if the NFL sells TV time and merchandise in the UK. It's not like London could ever have its own NFL team, with game times and traveling and what not. And if the sport really takes off in the UK/Europe within the next 20 years or so they'd have to create their own league, creating competition for the NFL. Like Wolvin said, play a game or two overseas if you want, but leave the championship games in the US.

Maybe you don't care, but the NFL brass and team owners would absolutely love to sell jerseys and TV time to Europeans. You think that Manchester United is complaining about all the jerseys that they're starting to sell in the States?

Remember this? http://www.nfleurope.com Now read the headline: NFL Europa CLOSES. 'Nuff said. Play a preseason game overseas if you want. But leave the Super Bowl in the U.S. where the REAL FANS of the teams involved can fill the seats and cheer on THEIR team.

Maximum Capacity: 98,772. UK's Wembley Stadium's max capacity is 90,000. Bwahahahahahahaha! Next to sissy-sliding QBs, the 2 Minute Warning, and fining NFL players for untucked jerseys and unclasped chin-straps, yes, you've nailed it. This Super Bowl abroad idea really is the dumbest thing under the sun. Only NFL execs are capable of this. The real question: Is this the part where we're all surprised?

This would be great, because this would nullify the home field advantage for all those bandwagon steeler fans
