Obviously this is not a thread for us Canadian alumni to be reading amidst our sorrow. We have done pretty well in the medal count, but disappointment in hockey and curling hurt because of long dominance. A gold medal in ice dancing just does not feel the same.
I suppose it's a bit like this site when success in less prominent sports give little comfort after a disappointing football season. That is the problem with high expectations . . . now where did I put that bottle of malt whisky?
