Wife and I just finished up Fleabag. It was okay... Now we're looking for something new again.

Queens gambit wasn’t bad if you don’t mind chess.

Utopia on Amazon Prime is really good.

The Queens Gambit.
It's chess, but exciting!

How do people think about Ozark? I heard that the vibes are similar to breaking bad, but has a good pace to it.

Loved it. First two seasons really good, then season 3 explodes into awesomeness. It's about a well-to-do Chicago couple who gets caught up in money laundering and moves to the Ozarks. Lots of tawdry characters and complete loss of morality.

Love Ozark...does have that Breaking Bad feel, but Marty (Jason Bateman's character) is not quite what Walter White turned into (in my opinion at least). Laura Linney and the actress who plays Ruth are great in it too.

We just finished Bly Manor on Netflix...not as good as Haunting of Hill House (not as many scares, not as good of a story), but still a good watch if you like the horror vibe.

And we recently started watching some random older comedies (Broad City and Happy Endings) just to get a break from LITERALLY EVERYTHING.

It’s great, and well worth watching. Season three, the most recent season, is arguably the best. Marty Byrd is nowhere near as compelling as Walter White, but the show is still one of the best Netflix has to offer.

All TV shows are bourgeois propaganda. Read Marx and Lenin

nah, not gonna get away that easy....expound upon that a bit more please

Too much effort for an Mgoblog post while I'm on my phone. Wish we could sit down over a 30-rack of coors light and watch TV together. I'd explain it to you in person.

Well there's this show I have been watching for about 12 years now called...
"Michigan Football Can't Find A Coach"
It's a real hoot. You should check it out.

Trailer Park Boys

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

That new walking dead spinoff called 2020 Michigan football.

Queen’s gambit, alone, Ozark are our last three. Not on level of stranger things or breaking bad but good enough to watch end to end.
November 14th, 2020 at 8:40 PM ^
Not exactly new, but The Wire if you've never seen it.

The Boys. Seriously, if you have Amazon Prime watch this show. It is PHENOMENAL.

Better Call Saul is great. Addictive as Breaking Bad, but much different. Great character studies all around.
November 14th, 2020 at 9:20 PM ^
In no particular order: Halt and Catch Fire, Rome, Broadchurch, and Babylon Berlin.

Seconding Queens Gambit.
Just started Perry Mason on HBO which is really good so far. Better than this game at least.

We have been enjoying Cobra Kai.

Queens Gambit was solid.

apparently many of us agree.
Go check it out. I dig how the story is told, and as a chess player I liked how it developed.
