OT - Spring Game Weekend and the Big House, Big Heart Run

Submitted by Blazefire on

As you may or may not be aware, the spring game this year is Saturday, April 14th. I'm sure like me, you all want to be in attendance to see some of our early enrollees and whether Rocko can snap the ball straight yet.

What you may not be aware of is that the following day, April 15th, there is a great charity event in Ann Arbor that will get you a run through the tunnel onto the field! If you've never had a chance to step onto the turf at the Big House, now's your chance. More information on the event is available at http://www.thebighousebigheart.com/.

The great thing about the event is that any chairty organization can use it to help gain support. When you sign up, you'll be asked to select a charity you're running for from a dropdown list. I would personally like to suggest the Book Industry Charitable Foundation. Formerly the Borders Foundation, the binc now supports book industry employees everywhere in times of hardship. If you don't want to run, there are other ways to get involved or help on the binc site.

But no matter who you choose to run for, it's a great opportunity to do some good and get an experience you may never have had. Run through the tunnel! Hit the field!

That's what I'm planning to RUN, not walk---my knees can't take the pounding anymore that they used to when I ran 5-and 10-k's.  But I am looking forward to the thrill of running down that tunnel and reaching the finish line, on the Block M at the 50---just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!

when does Spring Practice start? I can't find any information about that?

I know that there is a 30[something] day window that the practices have to be within, but haven't seen anything official about the actual practices and dates

If you're looking to represent Michigan and would like to run with an MGoBlogger, my wife and I will be running for the binc foundation, http://bincfundraising.weebly.com for their Go Blue for binc foundation team. If you have a Spartan friend or significant other who'd like to come, binc also has a Spartans for binc foundation team that will be running. They'd be thrilled to have you.

Did you run the BHBH? If so, you can find your photos online now.

I touched the banner!

The number of people who did NOT touch the banner is extremely depressing to me. You're there! Just jump like... 2 inches.
