OT: Skip Bayless the latest to leave ESPN

Submitted by Blueblood2991 on

Skip Bayless is the latest employee that ESPN lost to FOX in a bidding war.  They apparently offered him $4 million a year (seriously?) which he turned down.

To me, this is a great opportunity for them to bring some fresh blood for a fraction of the price.  But this is ESPN we are talking about, so they'll probably promote Jemele Hill to work along with Stephen A Smith and lose the few remaining viewers they have.

Everyone on this board watches ESPN like it's the only network out there.

Quit lying.

This is addition via subtraction for ESPN.

I was gonna say, F#$%, there goes FOX.  But if he's on midday, I'll never see him.

Am I the only one stunned that any of these people make 4m a year let alone Skip? I don't watch any of the daytime shows, but are they seriously this popular? I guess so.

It's funny, because Fox just keeps spending money on guys nobody cares about.  It was Cowherd, now Bayless.  I mean, the reason people know them is because they scream on popular ESPN shows.  Take away the "popular ESPN show" part and you just have obnxious guys yelling into a void.

Hoepfully ESPN spends their money on better talent.
